Since a tampon is used for collecting/absorbing the sloughed lining of the uterus, there isn't anything inherently "unhygenic" about it. I would however, establish a timelimit of how long said tampon has been in the body before being put in a mouth. Since the tampon is seated in a human body, at (dah) body temperature, it is an ideal medium for the growth of bacteria, so the longer it stays in the vagina, the more likelihood of bacterial growth. I have absolutely no evidence, but i would think 15 or 20 minutes would be about the limit of vaginal seating. I would rather err on the side of prudence than not.
