Well Since I posted about anal toys, (Thanks to those who gave advice!) I thought I might as well ask about enemas. Wyldhrt mentioned using a condom for easier cleanup. I may try that but I think that would be costly if I were to repeat this. So I've done a lil research about enemas but would like a few more opinions. So what's the best way to get 'clean'? I've heard using enemas douches with boiled then cooled disstled (<how the hell u spell that?) water instead of tap water... But I've also seen something that I might purchase, a shower attachment system. Made of stainless steel so I know its not cheap (quality) and only around 50 bucks! Some of the customer reviews say its the best clean they've had... but is it safe since its not disstled water?

Most enema-heads don't bother with distilled water. Just make sure to be very careful if using something like that of the amount of water pressure. Even a gravity fed system that is given too fast can blow out an intestinal wall. Msg me on the other side if you want some links to enema specific sites

So distilled water is not a requirement? And water pressure is the key. Got it. Still undecided on what kind of enema to buy though...

you can get a disposable one for around 6 bucks plus shipping if you look a bit. good for several uses for one person, run soapy water through it, but still toss after two or three weeks. about the only suggestions I've heard for safety is you don't have to fill the whole bag, only use stuff you'd drink, and doing it too many times with plain water can cause water to move into your peritoneal cavity through osmosis, which is bad. you're fine for two or three, but if you're going to be playing a bunch or doing it daily, you'll probably want to add a spoonful or two of salt to your bag, so the water flow is out, not it. so you'll get thirsty. also, chemicals like alcohol are like 10 times more potent when absorbed through an enema, so it's really easy to od. and to use, just hang or hold the bag 1-3 feet in the air. oh, and it can take up to an hour for all the water that went in to work its way out if you have a big one, so usually better to do a bit before play.

@ Nicelyvillainous I'd really rather buy something that lasts... Also a little confused about what you said here:

Alcohol? When did that become part of the equation. and The water flow is it? I assume you meant In.. So Being thirsty is good?

To get something that lasts, if you mean the apparatus, go to the drug store and get a 2-quart combination water bottle with tubing, douche, and enema tips. Locally here, it's about $15 but can be used over and over many times. Then put it together w/ the appropriate tip, fill it up w/ lukewarm water and follow the directions on the box. i think it says something like raise the bag about 2 feet above the hips for a controlled, gravity-run flow. It does take up to an hour for the last of the water and so on to make it's escape, so plan accordingly.

As for the alcohol mentioned earlier, some people do wine enemas because the intestinal mucosa will absorb the alcohol readily and get them a little tipsy.

Ahhh makes sense. A wine enema before play? Now that's definitely a kinky night.

It's a dangerous thing to play with and people have been known to die from wine enemas...just saying.

Be aware that wine taken that way  is infinitely stronger than if you just drank it. Enemas are not something to be careless with.

Well don't worry, won't be doing any wine enemas soon. I still have yet to do a water one, so wine is far far from now.

Some people get into it, but i don't recommend playing when one is inebriated. It's way to easy to not be aware of either what You're doing or what's being done to you when one is inebriated. Also keep in mind that it's way easier to get alcohol into one's system that way than orally and alcohol poisoning can kill.

I use a rubber bulb squirty thingy. I fill it with warm tap water, lube up insert it and squeeze. I then clean the bulb with a 10%ish Listerine solution. By the time I am done cleaning it up its time to expel. I am pretty clean after that, I don’t think you need a major set up unless you just want one.

I have heard of some interesting stuff for enema play like alcohol and mint. I was totally up for trying the mint enema. Never got the chance though.

Unless you are looking for ritual, then fleets enemas are probably just as good as anything you can concoct at home. Prior to bowel surgery, the protocol is one the night before , and one the day of, and that pretty much takes care of all the poop.  And this is for rectal surgery where you wouldn't want chunks, so it really does do well.

My ex had one of those gizmos attached to the shower head and it was Serious Fun, but for cleaning up, I would go for the Fleet, since it's all prepackaged and you don't have to deal with the gravity/water pressure issues of the bag. The rubber bags last a LONG time, they're a cheap investment.

try that one privately, and then see what up.

Use distilled water, heat it to about body temperature (test on your wrist like you would baby formula...no hotter!) and put in a small pinch of baking soda or kosher salt (non-iodized) for each 8 oz used.  Warming the water makes it more pleasant to take and retain; my subs get punished with big, cold water enemas when punishment is called for!
