Tut Tut health and safety in the work place. When I was at college I worked on this milling machine; like a massive drill that cuts chunks off of the side of a lump of metal. One day was I changing the blade it was a bit tight so I tightly held onto the bit trying to pull it out of the machine. In the end it came loose and I started to notice this stinging sensation coming from my hand. I looked at the palm of my hand and it was covered in blood from several sliced cuts where the super sharp blade had cut into me whilst I was gripping it trying to pull the thing out. The strange thing was the blade was so sharp I felt no pain whilst holding it.

It reminds me about a story of this kid who had a chain running from his left ear to his nose; pierced in both locations. The teacher said to us that one day someone walked up to him and yanked the chain off his face. This left a slot in both his ear lobe and his nose. That is why you are not allowed to wear earrings at school he said.

I was also told about the time a welder dropped an oxyacetylene torch. The flame sliced through his leg exposing the bone. His flesh was hanging off I was told but then again people tend to exaggerate don’t they. The worst thing that I’ve seen happen is a pedestrian crushed between two busses. The teenager was crossing the road between them and one bus driver didn’t notice him and he started to pull out from behind the other bus.

My nostalgia is for Harvey Wallbangers....the first cocktail I ever fell in love with.  Orange Juice, Vodka and Liqueur Galliano.  Haven't had one in 25 years.

OMG...Harvey Wallbangers were the first cocktails I learned to make.  Followed closely by Tequila Sunrises.  I guess that "dates" Me pretty well.  You can still make one for yourself, windchymes -- only takes a bottle of Galliano, which is readily available.

You know how to make a "Godfather"?

"What's for breakfast? What do you say, Piglet?"
"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?"
Pooh nodded thoughtfully.
"It's the same thing," he said.

i used to make one that was nearly all booze LOL

lets see it was vodka, grenadine, galiano, cherry vodka, dash of oj to cut the sweetness, it was kind of like a harvey wallbanger and slow screw mixed but leaning to the harvey wallbanger side of the flavor and tho it was nearly all booze it went down like water.  lol   Few people could ever drink more than 3 of them before they were wiped LOL
