Vendaval -> RE: Your astrological sign (4/11/2006 12:12:04 AM)

I was going to post these same recommendations but Mercnbeth did it first. [:)] The basic understanding of a personality comes from the Sun, Moon and Ascendent. The Sun is the basic personality, the ego and self image. The Ascendent is the personality shown to the outside world. The Moon is the private self, inner nature and emotions. The Moon and Venus are most important to understanding the love and emotions. It is instructive also to read about the 12 Houses, what they represent and how the placement of particular planets in a particular House effects Y/you. I have had a natal chart done both the long way, by book, and by a computer astrology program. The first was far more accurate, about 95-100%. The second came to about 75-80% accuracy. The general forecasts in newspapers and magazines are not specific enough to be of any real value. The best bet is to have Y/your natal chart cast and request a yearly forecast at the same time. Anything by Linda Goodman is great! She wrote very detailed and reader-friendly material filled with humour and wisdom. (She passed away a few years ago.) Blessings and Light, -Vendaval- quote:
ORIGINAL: Mercnbeth in order to call oneself “a” specific and particular sign, one must have been born on a specific day, time and location where ALL of the planets, sun and moon are in that ONE sign. so far, this slave has not met ANYONE who this is true for, so those that say "i'm a taurus" because they were born in may when the sun was in that sign are not speaking with much knowledge about their horoscope and therefore the cute little daily astrology section of the newspaper is not going to apply to you, them, or anyone else for that matter. Where the planets, sun and moon are in your chart and in relation to one another is more important than merely the sun's position by itself. Here is a short list of the planets, sun and moon and the aspects of one's self that each one corresponds to: Moon: emotions, habits, memory, the past, heritage Mercury: mental faculties, ability to communicate Venus: the ability to make adjustments, harmony, beauty, the arts Sun: the will, ego, personal identity, vitality, hope, creativity, authority Mars: animal instinct, energy & drive, courage, impulse, sexuality, force Jupiter: optimism, ability to grow & expand in consciousness, luck, wealth, hope Saturn: wisdom, fear, inhibitions, apprehension, mastery, excellence, status Uranus: freedom, detachment, intuition, future expectations, innovation, brotherhood Neptune: mysticism, sacrifice, guilt, uncertainty, anxiety, the unknown Pluto: the ability to regenerate, transform, evolve, the power to sustain if you are genuinely interested in what a horoscope reading entails, this slave would suggest reading anything by astrologer Linda Goodman. it is relatively cheap or free to have a chart drawn for you specific to YOU, you need your birthdate, place and time of birth. it is free here: http://www.alabe.com/freechart/ the interpretation of your chart however, should be done by a competent astrologer, or educate yourself and interpret it yourself. all it costs is time spent and an open mind.[:)]
