We've recently bought a vacbed which, although i don't usually have a prob with tight things or being immobile or sensory deprivation (quite the reverse in fact - hence us getting the damned thing!!), apparently freaks me out when we use it. Once all the air's sucked out and the tightness is a-happening i immediately get a panicky i-can't-breathe thing going on - and not just from the tightness across me - and have to have the air let back in, and even then i still feel wobbly afterwards, and not in an 'oooooo that was intense' way just in an 'eek, i need to listen to a full hour of The Archers and have a nice cup of tea to calm me back down'

Has anyone else had a bit of brain-melt in a vacbed? Did anyone not like it initially but trained themselves to enjoy it? Just eek.... help!

t's a weird feeling when it closes around your ears, as long as you have a tube in your mouth to breathe thru, you'll do just great, but you have to let yourself get fully vaccumed in the vac-bad to get the real feeling. Don't let the tightness freek you out.

It got my ears and my nostrils the first couple of times, but I focused on the tube, my pet was the same the first time we tried it out on each other, it took a bit of time getting used to it, now I love it, but my pets wife just doenst like it and cant get into it at all, so different strokes etc, its not everyones cuppa tea
Its sposed to be....intense, but if you really dont like it..I can understand why
I hope you end up enjoying it

You might try ear plug and nose plugs (like the kind for swimming) to see if the lessens the effect as you will not feel at the ears and nose as much. Just a thought?

Damn, if it takes a full hour of the Archers to calm you down, that must be bad.

Maybe you need to take it a bit slower - partial vacuum and some sort of signal to your partner to increase vacuum or decrease, and just stay in it at a comfortable level until you can tolerate a bit more. I imagine it's very intense and would need some working up to for me.

There's definitely a panicky point when it feels like the air's sucking your brain out through your earholes. Not pleasant. Weirdly, the first time we tried it (really quickly, it had just arrived and we had an appt to make in about -5 mins!) I didn't freak out as much as I did the second time. I was still all fired up about getting back in at that point. Not so sure now as that freakout was the weirdest thing! I'm honestly not the melodramatic type, but the time between the air all being sucked out and then it returning seemed crazy-long!
Maybe rigging a partial vac might work, and there's definitely a plan in the making in grabbing some ear plugs (ears bothered me, nose I didn't notice - althouhg I probably will this time ;) )
Or you may yet see the blasted thing appear on the 'for sale' part of CM

Thanks again to those who read and took the time to reply. I'd love to love it as much as I kind of think I should - I'll keep you posted!

It IS a pretty intense feeling yes. Even more intense was an inflatable latex hood that Mistress used on me recently. Makes you feel like your whole head is caving in, and nearly succumbed. But, I persisted and concentrated on the breathing tube, and then kept it on for around 20 minutes while having a tens unit used on my cock. Incredible experience!
