I don't know for sure, but I'm holding in my hand a bottle of Liquid Silicone, water repellent for shoes, boots & other leather products. Sorry if that didn't help you.

the cheapest water based lube you can get is j-lube. it's a veterinarian's product for things like checking the health of unborn cows manually. it comes in a powder that you mix to your preferred consistency. it's like $10 for a 10 oz tube, which will make about a gallon of lube. It has a very small amount of sugar so there is a small chance of a fungus growing in it if you leave it sitting out for a week. here's an faq I found about it http://www.anus.org/SEX/jlube.html.

This may sound weird, but the big 20 oz. bottle of lotion i get at the Dollar Tree store works great for butt plugs. And it's only $1. It's called Advanced Lubricating Lotion for extra-dry skin, by Purity. It works really slick, it lasts and lasts, and the plugs have never broken down from it. Just squirt a little blob on the tip and you're off and running. For other than buttplugs, i use Astroglide. Good stuff.

The glass one ill just have for fun :) and plus its only 5$ lol.
The 'glass' plug at $5 scares me! Normally Glass plugs and dildos are made from Pyrex glass and are fairly expensive. A $5.00 one may be made from "normal" glass and could break easily! (something that would not be good, considering where it's located!) K-Y Jelly is a good lube, J Lube is excellant too, it tends to last longer. Scotty

Chrissy,

You are going to be inserting these items into VERY sensitive tissue. Rectal tissue is NOT skin -- it is mucous membrane, and is VERY sensitive to chemicals. These chemicals can also destroy the very delicate balance of intestinal flora that inhabit the rectum -- especially if you are planning on regularly using internal cleansing methods to deal with excrement prior to insertion of your anal plugs.

With this in mind, I would say that "cheap" is the LAST thing you want. What you want (and need) is a quality lubricant that will prevent tears in the delicate mucous membrane of the rectum, and that will not destroy the balance of flora or the chemical/mucous production in and around the rectal tissue, that will lubricate sufficiently to prevent prolapse and/or increased risk of hemorrhoids, and that will protect your toys and minimize damage to the toys that would result in microscopic (or even visible) tears to the material or nicks, etc, where bacteria can build up.

With that in mind, I'm going to recommend Pjur and Pjur Aqua lubricants. Pjur is a taste-free, fragrance-free silicone lubricant, and Pjur Aqua is a water and glycerin-based lubricant. Both of these should be safe for use with your toys, and safe for your body, and are the MINIMUM that I would recommend for safe rectal play.

If you decide that you are willing to make a -real- investment in your health while doing long-term anal play, I would strongly recommend that you switch to a lubricant called Carrageenan. It is water-based, silicone and glycerine free (use of silicone, petroleum products, and/or glycerine in women can increase the incidence of yeast infections), and it is pH balanced to not disrupt the natural state of your mucous membranes. It is also single-use pump packaged, so you don't have to worry about getting e-coli in your lubricant accidentally. At $11.00 for 100 uses, it is a sensible purchase (that's 1.1 cents per use).

Think about it -- this is the ONLY body you'll have, and I'm sure you'll want to use your rectum until the day that you die.

Calla

You kind of need to get away from the idea of everything being cheap. Good quality sex toys won't be super cheap. They won't be super expensive either, Ok, some will, but you can choose the less expensive ones, no need to go hog wild on price. And no matter what butt plug  or sex toy you buy, you're still going to need to take care of it. , and store it correctly. And stay away from jelly and rubber and cyber skin, most of them do this thing called off gassing, and it's the pthalates used to soften plastics an stuff like butt plugs leaching out of the toy and it is harmful and toxic, not to mention jelly and rubber and cyber skin can cause burning in the mucus membranes do to the off gassing.

MEdical grade silicon, and plastic and mettle and glass are good to go with.,

And don't be to cheap to buy a good lube, Water based lube isn't that expensive, I think I payed 11 dollars for my bottle of hustler lube.

what about those? I dont want to have to do alot of maintenance or be cautious of how i take care of them. Thank you all for the input, especially allthatjaz. Thank you :)
I want to get the right plugs, kind of gradually getting bigger, but not to spend a fortune. Let me know about those and what not :)
Id like to have one that I can wear when I go out.

Chrissy

Please pay attention. A bunch of people have already said you can't use silicone lube with silicone or pvc toys.

You need water based.

Put a condom over the plug and use silicone lube. Water based will dry out, and if you're out in public for a while it may get VERY uncomfortable. A little goes a long way, so just spend the money on the right product. If funds are really tight, buy ONE plug and get the silicone lube (ID Mellinium is good). It also helps to wear a thong to keep it in, especially if you get the smaller plug which will probably slip right out. A medium plug should be a fine starting point; narrow base with a wide middle is good. I think the Doc Johnson medium has the best shape, and is somewhat soft and flexible. So it's not a problem wearing it for a few hours or more, and you can sit (carefully) without too much discomfort. The training kit is a good idea too, since the butt plug doesn't really stretch your hole once it's in place. Good luck with your new purchase!
