Do they exist? Why do they exist? Are Doms and Tops really just frustrated Switches who got tired of looking for another Switch? Or are they really just bossy people who can't let go and unwind? Are they all neat freaks, control freaks and really totally unable to bend at all? I won't say anal. Are subs and bottoms really just timid people who want to find someone else to take care of them, help them through life, make sure they don't get lost? Or are they people who don't have the courage to go out and date and they thought they'd just wait for someone to find them? Are they all people with really bad spelling and punctuation? What do you think? Let's sort this out once and for all. As a Switch I really want to know.

In a previous vanilla relationship where I paid the bills, raising the subject of kinky sex would get me told I was disgusting and cut off from any sex for two weeks. Dear Laura; By existing yourself -- you have confirmed such exists. However, I am of the thought that some have asked the questions to decide what defines them. One should ask what you are not. What you are. What you cannot explain would be the focus of great thought and searching of self. People will submit and or dominate given certain situations. How they do so is influenced by the enviorment. It is a matter of choice of an individual to decide to straddle the line as a SWITCH or tilt to total dominant and or total submission; with all the degrees in between. Personalities don't exist until people profess to being one, or are diagnosed as being such. "Why do they exist?" Considering it is just a way of expressing one's self to the rest of the world, they exist because people say they, themselves, exist. As to the rest of it, it's a case by case basis. Some people enjoy having the control a submissive will give them. Me, personally... I am considering giving up the entire lifestyle, but that is a private matter, best not aired here. People are how they present themselves and the opinions that you form about them, at least to you. Whether it is the truth or not is for both parties to decide, but most of the time, people will cling to their first impression like a starving pitbull on a steak.
