Mine is more of a lifestyle v. personal politics dilemma. I am very conservative personally, and would never vote for a liberal candidate for public office, but in the lifestyle I prefer the "to each their own" philosophy of how one lives their life.

Quite an interesting dichotomy, IMO.

It seems to me except in the latter case, humbling, being humbled, or a person with a humble disposition along with the attitudes and emotions felt from being humble, in combination with the erotic and the catharisis  from the sharing of the soul is really the center of the motivation here, not shame or humiliation. (real one)

Do you remember the movie "Groundhog Day".  Do you think in a sense we are all seeking to replay our lives over and over until we get it right?  Perhaps the desire for the humiliation, in addition to it being a chemical high, is also a way of having a chance to act on things differently.  I guess I'm sort of continueing with your theme of reprogramming but just saying it in a different way.

I do think that humiliation, for some, is a way to get in touch with that more vulnerable side and to let go of the ego.  In that way people who have a difficulty opening up and being vulnerable can do that.

i suppose that is purely circumstantial. anything for the olympics i am sure yes, free skating etc.  but life in general i cant relate to observing people as a whole doing things over for the  purpose of getin git right.  such as the guy who did a crappy job painting your house or repairing your car.  they are typically only to happy to let it slide.

i think people do what is enjoyable or fun over and over again even if its as worthless as getting a high score on a gameboy.

i think erotica is a powerful catalyst, however without some level of trust no one will open up at all.  it seems to me the sweet scent of erotica dangling carrot, then with trust defenses slowly lower, and with lowered defenses the ego rests, add a dash of focus, direct it toward your will and you have the situation you described.

Using the humiliation as i described on th eprevious page (which is not really tru humiliation) i do not think by itself wil accomplish that.  i think it is the right balance of the recipe above in combination with the desire of this person that actually opens the person, or will affect this person to allow themselves to open up.  remove any ingredient and i would guess it would not happen.
