I hope this image thingie works..
This is my kind of training collar!

Looks evil doesn't it? It is a spiked dog training collar available at some pet stores or online. The purpose for a dog is to get them to stop when you tug the line without hurting them because the "spikes" spread the weight out evenly across their neck. It will bring them up faster without damage.

For other purposes.. encircling your breast with one of these babies will provide some mild pain if tugged softly, harder if pulled taut. They are particularly good when two are used and secured to a body harness in chain or rope. The damage left behind is mild, small bruising and no cuts.

Interesting.

It is also interesting to note that many professional dog raising groups, such as Seeing Eye and Guide Dogs for the Blind, do not allow these "pinch" collars to be used on their dogs, calling it inhumane.

(And, for anyone looking to buy, I these are indeed called "pinch" collars, as opposed to "spiked/studded" collars, which have cosmetic studs on the outside.)

I have to admit it does look inhumane, but I can tell you on my flesh pulled up taut, it does not damage anything. I have also felt shock collars and those hurt like an MF'r. It is interesting how those things are sold all over as humane.. yet the older non expensive style has been declared bad. It never hurt me but it did get my attention.

I don't disagree with it being used for play. Just making a note about how people feel about it being used in a more serious manner.

And I would certainly hope it doesn't make you bleed! I think they'd have trouble selling needle collars in pet stores. Gah... I am not a needle person.

It only leaves small marks on my flesh which are just indentations, they are not cuts. And that is after hours of wearing it. And I don't have any sort of fur covering.

They are even outlawed in Germany, as are shock collars, btw.

Sheesh. OK.. the collars were MEANT for dogs. That was there created purpose. I suggest using them for non 4 legged pets. for PLAY. For sensual activity. For torture on people, not spot or lassie.

Shock collars are just evil no matter who uses them.

The pinch collar looks tempting for play!
