If I get my tonsils out will that aid me in my efforts to master deepthroating? I might need to have them out, and after the pain is over I am looking for a silver lining.

Perhaps you should find the silver lining in the fact that you won't suffer so many sore throats and a week of eating ice cream without guilt.

I had it done when I was 5. I still choke and can't breathe so no, don't count on it.

Pretty much what Des just said, except I was 4, lol. Your sinuses will still drain (if you're doing it right [;)]), and your gag reflex will still be very much intact. Sorry, but best wishes for a healthy recovery! [:)]
