Ok, so I never saw "The Hangover" in the theater, but it's a new release on HBO so it's on constantly, so I have run across it a few times and finally completed it in one sitting.  I'm not going to comment on the movie overall, but I have some observations and questions as a femdom.  For those that have seen the movie, maybe you will indulge me on this.

Apologies as I forgot a lot of the characters names.

First, the dentist.  His character, the woman he was going to propose to (the bitch), I have not seen a better portrayal of a stereotypical "hot but controlling" domineering bitch with henpecked/pussywhipped guy since the movie City Slickers with Billy Crystal's friend's wife (remember when he asked to stay five minutes, and she looked at her watch and said, "Starting...NOW") -- ok, THIS is the woman that poor sub guys get mixed up with thinking deep down she is a femdom.  Guys, she isn't.  She doesn't even like semen.  What does that tell you?  She's not dominant, she's just a bitch.

Second, a question. The four guys all represent very different "types" of men (personality-wise, and how they treat women).  Which do you feel, as a femdom, represents the best partner material? I love these kinds of questions (who would you like to dominate or to date?) when fiction portrays vastly different types of men (ie, the men of True Blood, or way back when, I asked this about the men of Grey's Anatomy), what "type" is most attractive to femdoms?   I think some subs believe we all want Bradley Cooper's character, and if they can't aspire to be Bradley Cooper, that it's ok to show up on a first date like Alan (the odd one), complete with the same outfit he wore.

I think most subs think dommes want someone who looks like Alan Cooper, and acts like the dentist (Doctor Faggot).

Stu steps up in the end. (There was master build up to this scene.)

The hangover juxtaposes "the Wedding" (female planning, female dreams, formal, stuffy, traditional, stressed, safe) with "the male bachelor party" (informal, seat of your pants, escapist, non traditional, fun, dangerous) These are two antithetical worlds, and one might conclude that all men who get married in formal ceremonies epitomize being submissive.

For women this step is the beginning, and for men, its the end. The hangover explores themes of transformation, forgetting who you were, forgetting what happened, figuring out what happened, and balancing adventure against safety.

For the long time married male, the only thing he tends to have left is the silver, Mercedes sports car in the garage.

Good point; women are attracted to danger, adventure, good looks, and a care-free attitude -- but its not so easy to corral that and keep it going in a marriage. It was funny how Stu (Ed Helms) and Phil (Bradley Cooper) switched roles in the end, and how Phil's wife was more attracted to him after he "manned up" in Las Vegas.

I love the movie HangOver! And the tiger song is classic. I also agree with you the she was not dominate I am submissive but would be totally turned off if a women acted like that. Espcailly when she said dont forget your rogain forgive me I mispell everying. I would always lose in spelling Bs Maybe because I was the care free type.

I think women would like to dominate Doug the most because you have to have some sub in you to take what happen to him so well. He showed alittle anger but most vanilla guys would be alot more pissed. Thanks for bringing up a fun topic.

This movie is AWESOME! I thought the dentists wife was more of a cuckoldress or hotwife in the making.

Are you going to answer your own question?

The Hangover is actually a really good movie, and I'm picky with movies, especially comedies. For some other opinions: The Hangover is the highest grossing R-Rated Comedy of all time. The movie was awarded the Golden Globe for best comedy. It was also awarded best comedy by both the America Cinema Editors (the Eddie Award) and the Broadcast Film Critics Association (Critics Choice Award). As for the Academy Awards (the Oscars), they don't have an award for best comedy.
