My Dom and I both young in age(31/29), young in experience (6m/1yr), and young at heart. While the suggestion to find a good mentor is a good idea, we have actually had trouble findin one. It seems that most Doms who message me are more concerned about either stealin me away(never, never, never will happen not in a million years) or bein able to share what my Dom has claimed. While I know some people are just jerks that way, I cant help but wonder if our age/experience (or lack of) has something to do with it. But we are steadfast and stubborn and will hang in there. If no one will help us learn, then we will figure it out on our own. Afterall someone had to figure this out in the very beginning. Age and experience shouldnt be the most important thing. I find the age gap between myself and my Mistress is a challenge, but one that we can overcome with understanding, tolerance and her heavy hand using a taws on my backside. Nevertheless, there will always be that 30-day gap in our ages, and I do wish I was the younger one.

Of course, at the beginning, younger Doms scared me off. At the time, young males meant immaturity and lack of sex at best, i thought i could hear them scream from the emails they were sending me (gimme gimme gimme!) I thought i was doing the good thing............ maybe i was wrong, maybe i did great mistakes reacting like that (sending back emails saying no, thank you each time the Dom was less then 25 and over 45) and missed a great lot of opportunities... but i reacted by impulsion at first and due to the fact that we're in an internet realm, the trustable factor isnt that strong... I understand your distress and i do agree with the posts placed before me (jezzabelle, TheShadows,etc). but please understand the defiance of the subs/slaves who are so scared about choosing the wrong One. I do wish you all the luck possible though [:)]

Well...I'm the Female half of TheShadows, 24 next Friday. The Male half will be 30 in July. Damn it all, I say, for not having the option of seperate stat columns on a Couple's profile. acctonthelook, we appreciate your vote of confidence. I can't take all the credit, though. I have known a few young women who were natural dominants, very skilled and intuitive. Their youth may have even been an asset. No time to develop a bunch of self doubts.

I'm 22, and have been a full on dom for only about a year now. shrug I know of 50 year olds that have only been doming for a few months. I don't think age is a factor, simply experiance. and even then it can be different, people learn and gain knowledge at different rates. you can be a dom for 20 years, and never know what it's like to collar a slave, you can wake up tommorow and have a harem. shrug Everyone is different. and if people think you are inexperianced, and patronize you, well they need to experiance some patience.

The first time I experienced a shade of what D/s was, I was 24 she was 38 and very submissive...at least sexually; it wasn't later that I learned the definitions...but I did find a natural state of being then. I don't think age is the question as much as finding a Mentor... and from what I've heard alot of 'Mentors' are into the power (imagine that, Doms wanting positions of power, who'ld've thunk it?); perhaps look for friends, might be what you are seeking. C
