I've got pandora.com on and it just turned up the strangest song I've heard in a long time.

Never heard of the Drive-by Truckers before, and judging by "Bob" I don't want to ever again.

Any other strange songs?

I like the drive by truckers.

But then, I make really strange music myself.

For those who want to hear

Am I the only one who never heard *anyone's* version of this, till now? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uxrUqIY1ic&feature=related

I was WoWed, when I recently first heard it. The delivery, so beautiful, the lyric, so wrong. Of course, winner of the Sickest, Wrongest version defintely goes to boufant-haired Motown girl group, The Crystals, for seemingly making a straight love song out of it, in earnest. And I was pretty thrilled to discover Hole covered it (which, if Courtney did a duet with the guy from Grizzly Bear, would be sort of a man-Hole cover). Judging by how often she's mentioned, Carole King had something to do with the song, too. Did she write it?

But the Grizzly Bear version is so hauntingly perverse.

Think of it as a commentary on the banality of the lyrics of some country songs [8D]
