They're actually both correct. But in my paralegal classes it was strongly advised (by the attorneys teaching the classes) to go with judgmental. Not real sure why though. [&:]
Probably because calling judges mental doesn't win cases? [;)]
When it is a legal term there is usually considered to be only one spelling that is correct.
Outside of that sense, it's correct either way. The english language tends to eventually adopt common variations which is just odd imo.
