Mercnbeth -> "Take Home" subs (9/20/2004 2:59:52 PM)

While attending our local groups Carnival fund raiser a Domme friend of ours stopped by beth's Body Painting station to say hello. Missing was her sub. She said that she had to release him. We started to chat, but things got busy and she got lost in the crowd.

About an hour later, she stopped by again to say goodbye. At the end of her ever present leash was a nice looking man who she introduced as her new probationary sub. She was leaving to take him home to see if was worth keeping long term. They just met in the 'Foot Worshiping' booth.

This woman is a standard looking middle aged and the male sub was similar. I has seen this happen often in this combination, but rarely, if ever with the sexes reversed. In other words a female submissive leaving with a male Dom who they just met at a lifestyle function. I was curious if anyone has any experience contradicting this?

As much as I suggest that Doms attend Munches and other lifestyle functions, I've come to realize that for all the years I've been going to functions, I don't think any male Dom I know has met someone that day and gone home with her. Sure I've seen and participated in lifestyle match making and people have met face to face at a function after chatting on line, but watching that yesterday got me thinking.

Has anyone met and picked up a sub at a lifestyle function? Would like to hear some success stories from single males.

That part of it sounds about normal to me. LIving in So cal now for a while. FemDoms are hard to come by. Especially good ones. The male subs must outnumber them by a very high percentage. I know at munches and at parties I throw. I always have several male subs with literally no one to play with.
Added, the fact they are men and one just automatically assumes they can take care of themselves.
I'd have a harder time seeing a femsub go home with someone they just met. Although I must admit I have seen it happen on a couple of occassions.

Suleiman -> RE: "Take Home" subs (9/21/2004 12:17:17 AM)

My wife picks up subs - or guys who are willing to try it out for the evening - about once a year give or take when we hit the local scifi convention (which has a respectable leather contingent, including a charity slave auction hosted by the klingon embassy). Then again, some guys will do anything for some p****, so that isn't really suprising. In general, subs usually outnumber doms simply because more people are willing to admit to being a sub. Most folks are afraid of being branded "sick" or "abusive" and so never give in to their dom side. This disparity makes sub-hunting distinctly easier than finding a dom, and some folks are willing to go home with a new person that very evening (I remember the first dom to come on to me nearly took me home with him that night, but I was a virgin and of barely legal age, and the host of the party we were at was a friend of mine and my mother's, so he remained on the lecherous side of gentlemanly and courted me properly)
