Excellent! Arpig- I started playing right before the switch from 3 to 3.5, all of my core books are 3rd and I've never had any issues. Luckily, since WotC was still run by game designers and people from TSR at the time, they created something called the System Resource Document (or SRD) so that 3rd party developers could use the refined d20 system and release products for DnD. Basically what it did is waive the copyright on almost everything in the Player's Handbook and Monster Manual, as well as a good portion of the DMG. As far as I know, all of the changes between the two editions were in the open sourced parts of the SRD. I'd suggest you use d0srd.com, as conforms in all legal aspects and it is the cleanest presentation that I know of. you'll find that most of the changes are actually in classes, the most drastic being the Ranger, which no longer sucks. If you could understand 2ed, you'll pick up third in a snap. Also, another resource that anyone interested may want to look at is www.Planewalker.com. It's the official Planescape fansite, and hosts a supplementary Campaign Setting sourcebook that is full of fun and flavorful stuff. Including faction feats, one of which you'll get for free when you join a faction to make up for the fact your not starting off being part of one.
