Termyn8or -> RE: When stressed or hot, my scalp itches something fierce (7/12/2010 1:57:35 AM)

I'm trying to rethink this, with minimal information I might add. It sounds to me like it is a physiological reaction to mental stimulation. In other words it is similar to people who get red in the face when they are angry. This is the area in which MDs need a nose guard, because they will fall flat on their face. They can give you 100 pills a day and not fix the problem, not even the symptom. This is not going to be easy. This is therefore found, at least for now to be akin to the red face. However the physiological conditions that cause that are manifesting themselves in a different way in your body. There are therefore two ways to attack this. First of all if you are healthy as a horse otherwise you might not want to play around with your body chemistry. That means learning how to deal with the stress in a different way, to enable yourself to detach from the stress. It works for me but it is a hard learned tactic, took me years to master it. Most people cannot anyway, so moving on ....... The way it sounds now, it is a condition or disease of your skin, which is the largest organ of the human body. We must avoid post hoc ergo propter hoc here. Now your skin is pretty much normal under normal circumstances, therefore we must figure out what is abnormal. Something topical could cause it, that's why I said to quit shampoo. But that's not likely to be the actual problem unless you don't rinse well enough. In any case it is coming from the inside. Some hormone or enzyme in your blood during stress could be reacting with anything, be it an infection or whatever. But we have to remember that skin of the face is slightly different, think about it, kids don't get acne on their knees an etc., they get it on their face. Going through this logically, what is different about the skin on the face and head ? First and foremost what I know is that the musculature underneath is tied very closely, in that your knee can't smile. Do you feel a muscle stress when this happens ? Do you feel hot ? I mean other than the rash is there anything else ? This can be an important point. Really, this could be something like herpes or shingles, which only manifests itself certain times. You may have contracted it twenty years ago. This is one of those cases where the more info you give, the more you get. T
