Self diangnosis can be difficult. You tie this to stress, but is there anything, and I mean anything else related to diet perhaps ? I mean some people might get a rash on their ass after eating shrimp, things like that. The only way to approach this scientifically is to isolate the variables. Some find it useful to make a record of everything they eat and drink in a given week for example.

But in your case you get a rash when stressed, has this been happening all your life ? If it was you probably wouldn't mention it, so in this case, think to when it started happening and examine any possible changes in your life which may have caused it.

I am not nor do I pretend to be a doctor. I am not a professional scientist in the eyes of most. But I know how to solve problems and it requires finding the root cause in the best case scenario. When it comes to things like this, it may be found that the root cause cannot be solved, in which case we figure out how to alleviate the symptoms. It is still better to eliminate the root cause though, if that is possible.

But I pretty much know this - when things start popping out through your skin they came from the inside. That means anything topical for example, can only treat the symptom. And I can't advise you about any drugs, not not field of expertise, someone mentioned benadril. I can't say if that is bad or good. All I can do is try to figure out the cause of the condition.

It's always happened during times of high stress or very hot. Or if it's been to long since I washed my hair AND I am hot

Once I cool down, or bvecome destressed, the itching stops completely.

Food wasn't in the picture at times of becoming severely itchy. Most days I had not eaten or drank anything.

And like I said one dr called my scalp irritations Ceboric dermatitis.

When I go out in the sun or get stressed out, I break out in a rash on my face. But it doesn't itch. So, probably not the same thing, but could be a similar auto-immune reaction. My doctor prescribed a topical steroid creame that helps clear it right up. I also stay on anti-inflammatories and allergy meds to help prevent allergens from triggering the inflammation. Benadryl is your friend, but there are many other prescription allergy meds that your doctor can prescribe.

Our bodies can react very weirdly to stress. One reason I do my very best to keep my life as free of stress as possible. I prefer to aoid the whole unpleasantness of rashes, temporary blindness, partial paralysis, kidney failure etc.

Hope you find relief and healing soon. Ask your doctor to treat the symptoms, while they try and figure out what is causing it. No reason to suffer while you wait for a diagnosis.

I also noticed my face forehead specifically got red and bumpy looking too, and someone suggested going to the salon to see if they knew anything to treat my skin while I was all red and angry skinned looking.

Ivory (any form of it) causes me to break out in hellish rashes..so it's really not as useful for all as it may be for you. I'm not alone in that, either. Lots of people react to it. There is a lot of crap in commercial soap/shampoos, though, petroleum products included.

Tfb, I get that too, esp when I am hot. Benadryl works if you can stay awake. The shampoo could be the culprit, too. I've used Aveda products for years, all plant-based, and never had an issue.

I'm trying to rethink this, with minimal information I might add. It sounds to me like it is a physiological reaction to mental stimulation. In other words it is similar to people who get red in the face when they are angry.

This is the area in which MDs need a nose guard, because they will fall flat on their face. They can give you 100 pills a day and not fix the problem, not even the symptom. This is not going to be easy. This is therefore found, at least for now to be akin to the red face. However the physiological conditions that cause that are manifesting themselves in a different way in your body.

There are therefore two ways to attack this. First of all if you are healthy as a horse otherwise you might not want to play around with your body chemistry. That means learning how to deal with the stress in a different way, to enable yourself to detach from the stress. It works for me but it is a hard learned tactic, took me years to master it. Most people cannot anyway, so moving on .......

The way it sounds now, it is a condition or disease of your skin, which is the largest organ of the human body. We must avoid post hoc ergo propter hoc here. Now your skin is pretty much normal under normal circumstances, therefore we must figure out what is abnormal.

Something topical could cause it, that's why I said to quit shampoo. But that's not likely to be the actual problem unless you don't rinse well enough. In any case it is coming from the inside. Some hormone or enzyme in your blood during stress could be reacting with anything, be it an infection or whatever. But we have to remember that skin of the face is slightly different, think about it, kids don't get acne on their knees an etc., they get it on their face.

Going through this logically, what is different about the skin on the face and head ? First and foremost what I know is that the musculature underneath is tied very closely, in that your knee can't smile. Do you feel a muscle stress when this happens ? Do you feel hot ? I mean other than the rash is there anything else ? This can be an important point.

Really, this could be something like herpes or shingles, which only manifests itself certain times. You may have contracted it twenty years ago. This is one of those cases where the more info you give, the more you get.

It sounds like something you should get checked out rather than rely on the advice of people on the interwebs.

The dr said it was still my Ceboric Dermatitis, irritated by sweat and heat. He said avoid the heat, which being July and soon to be hot as hell is kind of impractical advice.

He prescribed a special medicated shampoo nitral or something and Cortisone cream 1 percent for the break out of bumps and irritations on my face. Also some lotion type stuff to put on the bumps on my scalp to help break outs between washings.
