What is done to you or the attitude of the person doing it?

I don't want to narrow the discussion too much but assumming something is being done to you , would you feel differently about it depending on his attitude v the attitude ofsomeone else you may be in a relationship with?

Intent and context is important in a variety of situations. I have no experience with id.

However, Freud was rather big on the id. I always thought freud was full of shit.

As with everything else... It depends.

Neither is more important than the other. It just depends on the factors in question, how much I want this done to me, what the attitude is, etc.

Now you went back and eliminated everything about "id." How much do your drink on a day to day basis? Ever been to AA?

in that case then who I am doing things with matters completely. I don't do casual playing and I'm monogamous so yeah...it matters a lot.

It depends. His attitude matters but even if he had a positive, supportive attitude there are still some things I can't do.

Yes, this is so true. Even though i said the Person doing it/His attitude is more important than what's being done, there are some things i just can't do anyway. That's why i call them Hard Limits.

Neither. The most important thing to me is the person.
With him he can do whatever he wants to do. He can do the same thing to me in a rough, violent way or a softer more affectionate way and I will still crave it because it's him doing it.
