This post it not what you think.
Now we see people on the board here bandying words like moron about, apparently not understand their meaning. Well there are clinical definitions for the words idiot, moron and imbecile. Now I might be a bit off (another subject actuallly) but if memory serves it goes something like this :
Normal is 80-100 IQ
Idiot is up to 70 IQ
Moron is up to 50 IQ
Imbecile is up to 30 IQ.
Again I might be a little off, but that's not the point. People misuse these words in a real life arguments, and understanding the "heat" generated I can understand that. It happens to the best of us, those times that the last word of the sentence was better left unsaid. But how the fuck do you type in anger ? OK this has happened to me but it has been rare. But people, some people do it all the time.
If you are one to use those words frequently how do you justify it ? You used a word without knowing it's meaning, what does that say about you ?
What's more if you do posess a higher intelligence or superior knowledge on a subject, it is your duty to help others. Intelligence is a gift from the maker of all things, and as such should be shared, such as other superior qualities any and each of us might posess. One must make the distinction also between stupidity and ignorance. Stupidity can be cured by learning, ignorant people don't want to learn because they think they know it all. More on ignorance some other time.
But remember, the words that we priveledged are able to type into this PUBLIC forum live in perpetuity, and each and every one of us can be proven wrong at a later date. And your bullshit is regurgitated to the top of the list once someone responds, perhaps three years later.
Think about it, this is not an elementary school playground, as much as we might like it to be. Name calling is the most detestable form of expression I have found in human beings, as that I see it as a last resort for a fucking loser.
But there are always some who gain some sort of satisfaction frome typing the words "you moron" or something, not realizing that they can only represent themselves with words. Think about it some more.
An old Man told me, his name was John Fletcher and he is dead now, and he said "The problem with most people is that they start running their mouth without engaging their brain". Despite being dead, he is another one who gets smarter every day.
This is the Father of the Man who now owns the farm to which I occasionally refer. And I really don't know what to think, he hung himself in the barn after the death of his one and only Wife. Bitch about it all you want but I can see why,,,,, just maybe. He was not the type to take the easy way out. I would never call him a coward like others might, because I knew him and knew he wasn't. Plus he was as old as dirt.
Anyway, fuck all that. I just hope that we can settle a bit, give more thought, and correspond more efficiently here. I have learned a few things, and so have others.
Sometimes it is so simple :
"I am thirsty"
"Get something to drink"
OR
"I am thirsty"
"Get something to drink you moron"
In the latter instance there are nine keystrokes that were uncalled for, and totally useless, except in the case of an example such as I have given. Got it ?
