The Hitachi was fun when it was first used on me, but it easily went from exquisitely pleasurable to unbearably agonizing. I wouldn't spend my money on one.

i have a Hitachi and really love it. Works much better than the knock-off i used to have. i also have the G-spot attachment for it and love that too.

Ditto. But I never use it without the attachment to prevent clitoral desensitization. The only caveat is that the attachments don't carry the same oomph that the head provides when uncovered. You'll definitely lose a bit of the intensity. Assuming you're a frequent user and can discern the difference. [:D]

Please take My advice.  Do not buy vibrators for a woman who has not had any input on the subject.  Women have varying sensitivities when it comes to sex toys.  What is great for one woman is going to feel like a jack hammer to somebody else.  If you don't know the level of clitoral sensitivity that your potential partner has, it's going to be a waste of money and you're just going to have to shop for something different anyway.

If you are buying the vibrator for her pleasure then all of this advice is great. If you are buying it for your own pleasure, then maybe not as worthwhile. Do you ask bottoms which flogger they would prefer?

DomImus -> RE: Hitachi or .... (7/16/2010 1:57:41 AM)

To the OP check out The Eroscillator. It's pricier than the Hitachi Magic Wand (which I also have - two of them) and it's a totally different sensation. The HMW is a bit brutish and over the top but great for occasions when that is what you want. The Eroscillator head oscillates from side to side and is almost totally silent. It also provides an intense orgasm without the jack hammer effect of the HMW which is known to create a dulling or numbing sensation after a bit.

My GIGI does have multiple settings, there is 5 different speed settings and then many intensity settings ranging from barely being able to tell its on to OMG I'M GONNA CUM NOW!
These toys have no removable battery. The toy itself charges in a couple hours and lasts about 7 before needing recharging. I really haven't noticed any change in that time either, but I'm sure like any electronic devise it may decrease over time. It does have a 1 year warranty and a 10 year quality guarantee.
And the toy itself is silky soft, my clit has multiple piercings and I have to use toys that don't "clank" against my jewelry.

My Master and I had done some research online and found they were among the best toys on the market, and I have to agree with that

Those toys are really cool. They also have some that are USB charged.

Aileen1968 -> RE: Hitachi or .... (7/16/2010 4:10:40 AM)

Hitachis are really intense. He likes to use it directly on my clit at times almost to the point of pain.
It has been known to make me squirt.
I prefer orgasms from his mouth, his fingers and his cock.

dovie -> RE: Hitachi or .... (7/16/2010 8:04:59 AM)

I don't like the Hitachi.  I use mine soley to massage the body.

Thanks everyone for sharing your favorite toys. I have some shopping to do. [:D]

So from the responses it looks like I should be saving up for a lelo and/or an eroscillator, thank you very much for sharing you experiences. Are there any other devices that you would recommend I look into?

Actually, I have.  If they are bottoms and not My submissive, I'll absolutely want to know their preference between sensations such as thud or sting.  In addition, I have two pairs of floggers that can't be used on some bottoms at all.  One set has braided and the other square leather falls that are too severe to use on some bottoms even with good warm up.

DarlingSavage -> RE: Hitachi or .... (7/16/2010 11:12:05 AM)

I've never used a Hitachi, but it looks too big, to me.  I use this.  However, I would really like to try the GIGI and the Eroscillator!  Those looked like WAY more fun than my little toy.  But I have to confess, my little toy is compact and not too loud.  It is certainly the right size and it wasn't too expensive.

I checked out the wbsite, is it powerful? Also does it have settings, does it feel uncomfortable over time?

Oh on a side note I had recently seen someone using a hitachi, but they applied it to their hand as they were using thier digits on thier partner, I thougt it an interesting application as many of you have said that it is quite powerful on it's own.

DarlingSavage -> RE: Hitachi or .... (7/16/2010 3:07:04 PM)

It has one setting, ON.  No, it doesn't feel uncomfortable after a while, though, it is common knowledge that too much use of such devices will desensitize a female, maybe not all, but it does me if I use it too much.  And I have.  However, I want to try that eroscillator!  I want one of those, with ALL the attachments!  I can't imagine that you would want this thing over that one, or that GIGI, that one sounds way better, too.  You must be looking to not spend so much, I guess.

Ayamuz -> RE: Hitachi or .... (7/16/2010 5:10:50 PM)

Well it's more like I am interested in what is available to this purpose, so as far as that goes I was interested in learning about people's experiences with related devices.

sexyred1 -> RE: Hitachi or .... (7/16/2010 5:24:43 PM)

I have a Hitachi but never use it, it is way too intense and unwieldy.

I much prefer this:

Tantriqu -> RE: Hitachi or .... (7/16/2010 5:29:13 PM)

Hitachi: extremely reliable, intense, and slow or fast orgasms. Every once in awhile I'll try something else, but nothing else compares when you don't have a smiling face to sit on.
Just add Astroglide, and perfect every time!

It says it has two speeds how would you describe them, also what do you think of the attachments, as far as feel goes? It looks very nice, though what is the application end made of, noting to hard I hope, at it's advertised price I just might get one[:D]

It's really cheap, like 18.00. I only use the one rounded attachment, none of the others. The first speed is nice and strong and the second speed is very deeply strong, but not painful like the hitachi. The application is made of smooth plastic. I love it.

Seriously though, people who find it to intense can always plug the hitachi into a dimmer and turn it down.
