Our uncle passed away. I am sorta of surprised she never told me.

Condolences. I'm sure it was just a mix up, that she assumed your mother would call and your mother assumed she would.

Yes- we have always been on speaking terms. A call would have been fine as well. I guess she was no told until after the burial. The uncle - I did not care for- tho I did not dislike him. My aunt- I was close to at one time- but not anymore. So it is time moving on.

Sounds like she explained it to you then? It is death time of the year for us right now as well. My nephew passed away two week's ago..a childhood friend just died over the weekend. One more to go.

Same thing happened in my family. My great-aunt died, and I found out no one had told my dad. I don't speak to my dad, but I thought he ought to know, so I called him. He chose not to go to the funeral, but at least he was told (I also didn't go, but he had nothing to do with it).

You know, when people are grieving, they are forgetful. Sometimes they can't manage to make phonecalls. They can't figure things out. They are confused. Grief does all kinds of stuff to people. Because of that, I tend to cut people a break. Best, sunshine
