A friend in the community has told me that the individual found was John, the owner.  I am unable to confirm that.  I wanted to get the word out.

MissCake~~

Horrible news!
May John (if it was him) rest in peace.
May the murderer (if this guy did it) be persecuted to the max.

This is the latest update re: John Lavine's murder at Passive Arts this week.
http://www.insidebayarea.com/california/ci_15631785

John was shot several times in the head.

He had fired this guy for being 'creepy'.

His woof was also killed.

Terrible!

I am so sorry to hear this; I remember John from the times when Kim and I used to go to PA; he and Elizabeth were good people.

I never got the chance to meet him, but I had heard great things about his club.

It will be a hard loss for those he loved, because the murder of a loved one is a hard pill to swallow and has reverberations well past a natural death. My family lost my aunt to a murder when she was 18, years and years later it was a grim grim subject that was talked about like it had just happened.

I never got the chance to meet this man, Sinergy was going to take me, but then we quit seeing each other...I would never go to a lifestyle event by myself, I am just shy like that.... I wish I had known him, it sounds like he involved a new generation into BDSM, which is a good thing in my mind. Hopefully his club will survive him, since he so obviously put so much into it...

Normally, I wouldn't re-post something from another thread, but since there are two on this subject, I hope this will be permitted.

This is being cross posted from another site.

Kane will be hosting a Memorial for John Cougar at The Lair on
Sunday August 8th at 3:00 PM. There will not be an admission to attend this and everyone from the community is welcome to attend. This will be a day of
remembrance, a day to share our experiences and feelings, a day to honor John.
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend. The Lair is located at...
6628 Lankershim Blvd. North Hollywood, CA. 91606

Tragic. I just heard about this tonight. I knew them both and worked there several times. I also stayed there a few weeks when I sick and transitioning to a new place. David had been there quite a few years (if this is the big David I knew). They had a love hate relationship. I doubt he fired him for being "creepy" He was always creepy but he was also nice too. He would clean and give rides to some of the girls. Even bought some of them lunch. I think he even bought me some cigarettes one time. When David would have an issue with John it was usually about not getting money he was owed. I'm not sure if that was his motivation here. It's a really sad story all around and yet scary too because I was alone at times with these people around me. I'm glad I left. There was a lot of bad energy at that place. I can't believe David did that and took someones life. I'm really shocked by hearing this news.
