Are you denying that states are facing growing budget crisis under this administration?

Welcome to the Democrat controlled economy. Welcome to "A Summer of Recovery".

quote:

Governor Dave Freudenthal is threatening to sell off a chunk of one of America's most beautiful national parks unless the Obama administration comes up with more money to pay for education in the financially beleaguered state.

You miss this part?

quote:

Washington says it is negotiating, but Freudenthal says the issue has dragged on for a decade.

A decade ago, Obama was still wearing short pants and attending jihad classes at Saddam Huessin's private fundamentalist madras in Baghdad. This isn't an Obama issue; it just happens to be coming to a head at this particular time.

He is saying that it is ironic that you posted that photo when the story began under Bush, and if you cannot see the humor in your faux pas, no one can help you do so

OK, someone has to take the bait....
How exactly did Obama cause the various states to have budget crises?

Had you or panda read the bit of the article which I quoted youd have known that the governor of Wyoming is describing his states financial problems in the present tense, and referred to Obama by name. Obamas laser-like focus on partying in the White House, golfing at every opportunity and constant vacationing has yet to help the economy at any level.

Which tells you how this governor is using the country's economic woes to push forward developing this land. I wonder, who stands to profit from developing this land and how they are connected to the governor? Since this has been going on for many years, it stands to reason that there is a much larger story under the surface, like developers wanting to get their claws on public lands...

Or it could be as it seems, Washingtons method of bullying Western states out of vast tracts of valuable lands at the expense of local economies is breeding significant widespread resentment on many levels.

If Rex wants to blame the current economy on Reagan or Eisenhower thats his prerogative I suppose. Theres no sense in my trying to argue with anyone who is determined to live in a state of denial, is there.

Uber Liberal California?

The very heart of Obamas economy?

If hes living there and he isnt aware that things are bad theres no reaching him:

quote:

America's Worst Job Market: What 27.6% Unemployment Looks Like

El Centro, Calif., is the largest U.S. city to be situated entirely below sea level. At the moment, it's also home to the country's most underwater job market. Nationally, the unemployment rate sits at 9.5 percent. But in the El Centro metropolitan area, it's a staggering 27.6 percent. And as workers across the country struggle to navigate the anemic labor market, El Centro has emerged as a case study about just how fragile the economic recovery can be.

We haven't had unemployment at these current levels, two years over 9% nationally since the Great Depression. Not since Hoovervilles were common.

Yes, but I'm sure it was all Wilson's fault somehow, because he was the last Democrat to hold the White House prior to Hoover, Coolidge, and Harding.

I thought it was Bill Clinton's fault because he was so busy getting a BJ he forgot to build a time machine and go back and prevent it from happening in the first place.

I do not think they can sell Federal land... just saying this story sounds bogus

The problem is, parts of Grand Teton are actually  state land. They may very well be  able to do anything they want with it, up to and including carving a new Mount Rushmore with Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Glenn Beck.

Which actually might be sorta cool, if you think about it.

I must admit that the prospect of a Rightard Rushmore is one of the very few things that would lead me to commit vandalism.
