But yet he tells me I can't keep my home at a comfortable temperature. I cant have the shower head I want. I have to sacrifice.

no, he is telling the fat cats on wall street to stop overt spending. the company on your credit card, the bank that your home loan is assigned under- that is who is talking to. i doubt you fall into that catagory.

Its not the handicap ramp.. unless you are doing wheelies again. The spin i was referring too was your trying to associate his fat cat comment to a vacation. Regardless of Michelle staying at home or traveling abroad, those of the SS will get paid... no more.. no less. The jet may not fly, then again, it just may. Its still stocked, still at the ready. Michelle is paying for the vacation her and the girls are taking. Its their down time. About all they can do is travel and sightsee. So that is what they are doing. A chance of a lifetime for parents to show their children a world they would never have seen before. Its not like they can tell the Secret Service to stay home. Nor would i expect them to sit around the white house and wait. i seem to recall a certain First Lady who took her daughters on an african safari... and nothing was said. And i find it amusing that someone commented on Michelle taking a vacation without her husband. I thought that was becoming the norm... seperate vacations and all.

Aren't you guys the same people bitching about the Auto Execs taking private planes to DC to ask for stimulus funds? Obama preached that American's needed to stop living beyond their means, and that we had to stop driving SUV's, and a bunch of other bullshit, so don't be too surprised when we bitch about the First Lady and hundreds of her closest friends and security jet off to Spain, and spend our tax dollars in a foreign country, when our own economy and tourist destinations could really use the boost.
