Funny story. i often skim my way through the threads, without paying too much attention to who said what. So, i was on a thread the other day, and i was on a roll. i was answering someone's post, and i decided to be super clever and give an example of what somebody said from another thread which i thought was wrong. Guess what. The person who i was answering was the same person who said it.

Faux pas, anyone?

pam

P.S.-- This person was really nice about it. After they picked themselves up off of the floor from laughing.

Here is one of mine Pam -

My junior year of High School we had a new girl start mid semester. She was lovely and we hit it off so I asked for her number. Being an ass I took her pen from her hand, held it, looked deep in her eyes and had her recite it for me. I told her that she was unforgettable and I would never forget that number and would call her that night.

I got home later, tried to call... and had forgotten it. So what do I do? Wait to tell her the next day, ask again? No... Her last name was unusual and checking the phone book there was only one listing for her last name. I had no idea of the parents first names so I went for it, called, got an answering machine. Did I hang up? Nope. Left a message with my number..... Why I though her number would be listed since she just moved to town? I don't know. Trying to explain that she was forgettable and why I hadn't called, and why I had left a message at her grandparents house did not go so well.
