Ok, what's the difference here? I'm a songwriter and I'm too lazy at times to write. I'd think a Female Domme would help me out. Any ideas?

Why would we want to dispell your fantasy, and tell you the BS you've been watching in porno is NOT what most dominas are like.   M

I am a musician myself and I fail to see a correlation between being dominated and disciplined into writing music. I do not believe that creativity is something that can be forced out of someone, you are either inspired to create or you are not. No one holding the threat of punishment could spurn the creative juices to flow no matter what the consequence of failure. I am not sure that your point is very clear either. Perhaps a little elaboration would be helpful.

Keep drill instructors on teacher you to march...

It's not the creativity, just the laziness. I can write a song in an hour, if I'm not lazy. Now if I can only get a Domme to curb that:(

If you cannot find it within yourself to overcome your own obstacles then reliance on someone else to do it for you is unrealistic. After all, in order to overcome something such as laziness there has to be a willingness on your part to be motivated. You cannot expect that a dominant will break you of bad habits... surely they can try but the ultimate decision must come from you.

Well, yeah, but a whip, or rewrd would make it a tad easier:d

SweetDommes -> RE: Drill Instructor vs Domme? (4/19/2006 10:56:17 PM)

Most Dommes that I know don't work that way - we sure as hell don't.  If you won't work for yourself, how are you going to convince a Domme that you will work for her?  What happens when you decide that you are too lazy to do something else that she asks/tells you to do?

i don't rant and yell.. it is taxing on my precious vocal chords. i had a discussion with a male today from CM and he's like.. ok.. you're too *nice*.. what gives?

i was like.. err.. first you arent my slave.. henceforth you arent worthy for my *humiliation*.. secondly i feel the *kneel you worm* sorta mentality comes from a place OTHER than domination.. it's not a natural dominance. when i say natural dominance, MOST dommes whom are NATURALLY dominant don't need to rant- if we rant.. please beware and be forewarned of the impending wrath.

dominance should come from a place that's not stereotypical..

i almost hate when people tell me i'm not the *typical domme* they've ever approached. then a small part of me takes that as a compliment.. i dont feel the need to put EVERYONE in their place. cross me- yes.. i will tell you where to GO..how to get there.. and what the fuck to do when you arrive.

otherwise, i feel women that rant and rave in the "crawl worm" fashion.. need a LOT to learn.

it's a face or a mask that some women put on.

the woment that approach ALL men like they're useless etc. are just putting on a face..

i've noticed all my domme friends (pro and otherwise)... behave like me.

if i rant and yell..

watch the fuck out..

it ain't gonna be pretty

*giggles* the title of this thread totally gave me boot camp flashbacks. i'm sitting here trying to correlate my image of army drill instructors screaming at me with my image of dommes, and failing miserably.

i think i kind of get what you're getting at, but i'm with gauge. creativity is something that has to come from within - it's an intrinsic motivation sort of thing. then again, i feel that submission or slavehood is also an intrinsic motivation thing. so looking for extrinsic motivation, to me, defeats the purpose. as someone else said, it also shows that one perhaps isn't self-motivated...which i think is a valuable trait in anyone, but especially someone in service to others.

Get down M! [;)]

To the OP : You and only you are responsible for your success and productivity. The second you believe you need someone else for inspiration, I'd quit writing and go back to just listening.

If I want to bench press four-hundred pounds, double my income, earn a masters degree, or write music, it's all about ''thou''  and not a single other person - Believe it!

If you're truly a songwriter you won't need a domme, you'll reach from within and make it happen.

Good luck!

If you can't find the desire to write, reward/punishment scenarios will not accomplish much for you.  Granted, it is a type of motivation, but it's counter-productive, in some ways.

Look at it this way.  Would the song be written for you, or just to avoid being punished?
