Jen tell that to Stacy Peralta and the the rest of the Z-boys (skaters of Zephyr shop) who were using "skater boi" before the mid 1970's.

Mr. Knucklehead (cuz you keep referring to yourself as such),

I can't find any references to Mr. Peralta or any of the "Z-Boys" calling themselves "boi" or "skater boi". There's plenty of references for "boy" or "boys" or "skateboarders" but not "boi". Please, provide a reference.

boi

Yes yes yes...I'm digging through some boxes that are yet packed to find my own references.

You probably won't either unless you put in the time to watch the skateboard documentary "Dogtown and  Z-Boys".

As to the Knucklehead  schtick it is: A) shorter then "Thats just my opinion I could be wrong" and : B) largely true of the entire human race as none of us knows everything about everything.  SO based upon those two criterion I and about 5.999999999 billion other people on the planet qualify as "knuckleheads"

As others here have so eloquently pointed out word usage in the english language is constantly evolving.  You really should not be quite so hung up on "labels".

The made up word already has a meaning just like the made up word "man". The straight guys aren't cute for doing it and need to make up their own fuckin word. It's just one more fuckin instance of straight male privilege invading space that was previous claimed by a minority.

FUCK!

Jen, you really are beating your head against a proverbial brick wall here.

The question is, are you going to continue to do so for the sake of righteous indignation or concede that your 'right' does not always make everyone else wrong?

It's obvious that the word has strong emotional meaning to you. But you have to understand that not everyone in the world will, not only not share your opinion, but totally not understand your ties to the word. Again, that does not necessarily make them wrong, just different.
