This question came up for me as I read another thread about kissing ones property. It's hard for me to consider myself as property so I don't like the thought of being called property. In my head, property refers to inanimate objects. I've made reference to Sir owning my heart, mind, and body, but (for me) that statement is referring to my commitment to Him and His to me. What are your thoughts about being called property?

I like it, I get warm fuzzies when he refers to me as his property. It's like wearing his collar or knowing that we're a couple when we are out...it's just another way in which I feel we are committed. I understand why someone may not like it but the word doesn't affect me in a negative way.

Before... I felt much the same as you do girlygurl. He is my Master. I am His slave. Property is one of the many labels that describes parts of the whole of what I am to Him. He owns all of me; I belong entirely to Him. That belonging-ness is very important to me. I am His valued property; His "prized possession" (as He referred to me, in the only post He has made to date on CM). So, like with most things, context is everything. edit: punctuation
