Forgive my obvious ignorance and thus stupidity. I have only beed Dominant and particpated in bdsm activities for the last 30 years, and have been on Cm for 3. HOwever, I do not know everything and seek clarification on certain terminoology used within the community that we follow.

So, pleas can someone tell me what is SCA?

Thanks

ETA:

There is more than one case where undercover police attended parties and filed "assault" charges against party goers...  even thought the 'victims' wouldn't sign statements or complaints, the state picked up the charges and prosecuted anyway.  Several of my friends post their SCA membership in dungeons as a "cover your ass" legal move.  They claim the whips etc are for "SCA reenactment purposes" and they feel it helps avoid an "assault with a weapon" charge.

Context?

There is a group called the Society for Creative Anachronism that has a bit of an overlap with people involved in BDSM.
