Anti Semitism, this phrase is the phrase that it seems all Americans are scared of, for to be labelled an anti Semite, is the dirtiest thing to be in Modern America, the kiss of death label, but what does it mean to be an anti semite in America, what are it's consequences and how is the phrase being misused in US policy ?

Ex Congressman Paul Findley has some ideas and undoubtedly the misuse of the phrase has lead to the US present position of being scared of both Israel and Islam, something that is doing the American people and a fair smattering of the rest of the world no good at all.

Ex-U.S.Congressman Criticizes U.S. Paul Findley, former U.S. Congressman, speaks out against U.S. complicity in Israel's 'sustainted criminal conduct.'

It is always interesting that it takes the position of Ex in something for a different perspective to become known.

It seems to apply to Abrahamic Jews specifically (and not so much to Arabs), and means that you can tell everyone who has a wart on his nose that he has a wart on his nose and discuss this reasonably, except for an Abrahamic Jew because then someone (not necessarily an / the Abrahamic Jew himself) will hysterically scream that you are an anti-Semite and that the wart - or even the nose itself - does not exist.

I suspect people who are most indignant about anti-Semitism to have been most heavily involved - or to be descended from such a person - in the extermination of Abrahamic Jews (and gypsies) during World War II.

I do think that there ought to be done research as to the prevalence of warts on the noses of people from different populations. My hypothesis appears to predict that this prevalence will be highest in Abrahamic Jews, as being in denial of the existence of their nose warts, they will not have them removed.

Your hypothesis, you do the research.

Also I was speaking metaphorically.

Eh, what kind of opinion?

Well, I am crazy. All super-geniuses are crazy by definition, otherwise we could not be (nearly) always right.

Let me amend that: All super-geniuses have crazy thoughts by definition, for if they had normal thoughts, these would be as faulty thoughts as normal people have and in that case the supergeniuses would be normal people themselves and not be supergeniuses.

I know plenty of people who are indignant about anti-Semitism who have never been involved or descended from anything you mentioned.

We have the power of organisations like the ADL to thank for much of this. Because they identify Anti-Semitism, criticism of Israeli state policy, anti-Israelism and Anti-Zionism as all being exactly the same thing, they have made it very difficult for anyone to have a sensible conversation about the subject without getting accused. It reminds me of the McCarthyite communist witch-hunts of the 1950s. It'll all end in tears.

Oh right! I forgot; you view yourself as a super genius.

We may as well forget having a discussion then.

I find it tedious to deal with supreme narcissism.

Oh? I suppose that there are plenty of such people, but can you prove that in every case?

These are among my suspects, very much so.

Sexyred, I interpreted his statement to mean that Germany has pretty tough anti-Semitism laws.  So I interpreted it as applying not to people, but to nations.

Oh, come on. The holocaust was financed by USA Jew bankers amongst others. Those Jews that were murdered during the holocaust were (innocent) victims. I suspect all who were not murdered of perhaps being the perpetrators. (It is like a murder mystery: Everybody who was on the premises at the time of the murder is a suspect, said Hercule.)

Most people suffer from a lack of healthy paranoia.

But with a history of oppression lessons should have at least been learned, as it was wrong to oppress the Jews, then so it is wrong to oppress any other group, Jews with their ancestral experience should know this, but what is it that they do, surely the very same as that of their ancestral oppressors, for they have learned nothing. One would like to think better of the oldest of the three warring religions, they I would think should be the most mature, the elder figure amongst the three and there be to set an example of the right kind, not what we have so far.

I see this is your first post here, welcome. Word of caution: the Politics and Religion threads contain delusion on a grand scale. Enter at your own risk. :)

I am sorry, DS, but my eye-balls just fell from their sockets and now they are rolling over the floor. Please wait a minute so that I may pick them up and put them back where they belong.

I usually express myself extremely accurately. So anybody who does not get what I am saying and starts to interpret it according to his own perception of the world, will always arrive at a wrong interpretation.

If I was an arsonist, you can bet that I would vehemently point my finger at anyone lighting a match and scream that that person is an arsonist and ought to be burned alive, to in this way allay any suspicion that I myself might be the arsonist.

Analogously, it stands to reason that anyone who in any way was an accomplice in the holocaust as well as their descendants would accuse everyone in sight of being an anti-Semite in order to allay suspicion that they themselves had anything to do with the holocaust. And I am not talking about Germans only.

Abrahamic Jews have been persecuted for thousands of years, by many different peoples and even by their own pagan god himself. I wonder what the common denominator in all these persecutions was? For sure the persecutors were not that common denominator, as they were all different peoples.

If someone asked me who I support "Israel or Muslims" I'd say "Israel!" Not a lot to think about there.
