Most people who "switch" tend to identify with one of these below descriptions:

1) Dominate or submit based on whim with no real rhyme or reason.
2) Have been both dominant and submissive in their lives, but in phases.
3) Switch roles with the same partner.
4) Switch roles with different people, but once a dynamic is set it remains.
5) Will top as a part of their service.

Lil Bambi is #5.

As a personal trait, I "switch" because I will play at being a dom (which is usually called "topping") when told to do so... And I do it with dedication.

Too funny......

I have just figured out that there is more to me and my sexuality, and now I find it is no differant in bdsm than the straight world. Why is it that people judge on what peoples preferences are? One should be happy that they are able to have a willing partner that fulfills their fantasies....

I thought I had found a place where I might be able to be me, which by the way I haven't been able to define yet? I am into a lot of things and am open to most things, but bigotry and stupidity I draw the line...

So, what is a switch? Is is someone who can derive both pleasure and pain from either being dominant and/or submissive? Shit, count me in, sounds like bliss to me....... Look me up any female switches, would love to experiment.......

Welcome to collarme, alaskan!

WinsomeDefiance -> RE: Define Switch (11/20/2010 7:34:28 PM)

I picked switch, because I do like to Top from time to time and it just seemed to fuck with my partner's reality to find that out. As if I had lied about being submissive. For me, it reflects my interest in topping and bottoming ACTIVITIES. I see a definite separation between BDSM activities and Ds relationship dynamics. While they can be integrated, they don't necessarily HAVE to be.

I'm not with him now, but I decided in the interest of Full Disclosure, to leave Switch up. Especially since I'm happily single and have no immediate interest in changing that.

I choose switch b/c I am Domme and need a break now and then. I live the lifestyle and just want someone to tell me what to do for a day or so.

fetishfairiey69 -> RE: Define Switch (2/4/2011 2:01:07 PM)

I think that it is different for most switches. I am most of the time a dom but to the right person I submit. I also have times that I feel very very sub and want to be spanked and smacked around. I love to be tested... and pushed... but MOST of the time I am very hard if a dom challenges me and doesn't know me will butt heads with me and not like me because I will not submit I am very hardheaded and I will not give up to a challenge until you walk away...

Be Well

Define Switch? Outside the comfort parameters of those who like their protocol. Well, at least in terms of the protocol focused folk I have encountered.
