First i wish to thank everyone for the input on the last post, and putting up with me. If anyone would be kind enough answer another question; it would be appreciated. Question, How much of a risk is there in swallowing after oral. No really i/m fairly healthy and really have no idea, though i've heard volumes on the subject, have no real facts. Could someone shed a little light and tell me what is the straight skinny where oral and  STD  is concerned. What can one do, other than abstinence, a non starter; and knowing your partner, that can be done to mitigate any questionable encounter. This is all so new to me and opinions are as wide ranging as ...well never mind that, bad choice of words. So i turn to you and ...place my trust in you  advice...gulp, sorry no pun intended. Just nervous, but always respectful

Evidence suggests that HIV cannot be tranmitted orally if you have no open sores in your mouth.  However, many viruses such as Hepatitis, Herpes, Genital warts, and Chlamydia can penetrate mucous membranes and even skin.

The best place to find the most current information on STD's is the Center for Disease Control. Their URL is CDCNPIN.org.

understud,

If you are with a partner who is not telling you the truth about their status, or if you are with a partner who has been intimate with anyone untested and/or unprotected since their last test, the risk is lethal.

I require up to date testing for std's before I will session any sub, and as we all know, that's not foolproof, for a plethora of reasons.

There are mouth dams, or barriers, that can be used for oral sex.  Insist upon them until you know your partners well enough to establish some common safety guidelines, and even then, infections can happen.

Once you've accepted the risk of oral contact of any form, that's fluid exchange.  The risks are not increased by swallowing, nor are they decreased by spitting it out.

Risk is risk.

Take precautions, even though at times it might seem worth dying for.

TexasMaam has explained this excellently, so I'll just re-emphasise her points- unless your partner has been tested as free from STDs since their last sexual partner, use condoms/dental dams. It might not seem as much fun in the short term, but in the long run its way more fun than catching a disease. And remember, pre-cum can also be a risk, so just not cumming in the mouth doesn't necessarily keep you safe.

Jumps on board the "Get Tested" band wagon.  STDs can be passed along through such fluids, if your partner has STDs.  If your partner has tested "clean," then there is no worry of that........assuming if he plays elsewhere his other play partners are tested, and so on.

I would caution to still be careful until you can 100% trust the person, even if they test clean when you meet them, there is still no guarantee they are faithful, have clean play partners, etc.
