Gee, do ya think ya'll were livin too close to the water???  We've never had a snake in the house that we didn't bring in, thankfully, although I did find one of those little ground rattlers in the laundry room once.  I ran into the house yelling, "Snake, snake!" and Dad ran out to look for it...came back in, glared at me, grabbed one of his shoes and went out and beat it to death.  Unfortunately for him, it was female and full of babies!

I have precognitive dreams, life lesson dreams, interference dreams, and every other dream you can think of. I have had visitation dreams, recurring nightmares that finally went away. I love the fact I dream in technicolor, dream deeply, and dream often. I think dreams are vastly more important than most people give them credit for being and put much stock into what I dream. I also love to hear about what others dream and try to intrepret them based on archetypes which I have studied to some degree.

I have always had some pretty bizarre dreams. And one thing that leaps out to me is how some of them are so similar to ones I've had for years and years. Ever get caught in a "dream/nightmare cycle"?

My recurring dream has me kayaking ''Devils Canyon'' of the Susitna river {Alaska} with a few buds - I either never remember or always wake up before the dream ends. In reality, I'm not sure if I want to live out this dream. HAR!

My two primary dreams are 1- I'm in a building, going up and down stairs and elevators...... looking for something or someone.........over and over.....

Well, this is freaky!! I was plaqued with this same recurring nightmare from the time I was a child, until I was in my mid-20s.

I finally described it to my mom, and she looked at me with this funny look on her face and said, "Well, basically that happened to you when you were three. Didn't I tell you the story?"

Seems my two olders sisters were supposed to be keeping an eye on me while my parents went shopping, and they went out to play with the neighbours leaving me alone in the house, wandering up and down stairs, looking for everyone.

The dreams went away after I found out the story, but I will always remember waking up terrified, and being afraid to go to sleep for days after one of these dreams.

i've had some great nightmares lol Only your mind knows what truly scares you.... :)

i used to dream of zombies coming to get me and trying to survive. One dream had me in my friends car and there were zombies but they weren't at the car yet, she stopped the car and needed to go in the house to get someone or something and she took the keys to the car! Leaving me a sitting duck waiting for her to get back! i usually wake up from that one when they start getting closer to the car.

i once had a dream where i was back in Ohio and i ran to my old bedroom, closing the door and using my body against the door to keep the zombies out. Right before i shut my door i saw that my Dad was one but i knew he had passed away when i was 19 (in reality). When he managed to get the door broken and started to come in, i yelled that his zipper was down and he stopped attacking me to check lol my Dad was very conservative :) even as a zombie lol i woke up right after that.

i've had dreams where i wake up laughing from something in the dream.

i once had a dream that my Mom passed away and i woke up crying.

The zombie dreams were interesting though because my sis and i figured out why i was having them. The zombies were bill collectors lol always chasing me down. lol Once we figured it out, i stopped having the zombie dreams.

Has anyone had a dream within a dream? Thats where you wake up, but you're not awake yet, you're actually still dreaming. i hate when that happens. Back when i had my own apartment, i was dreaming that i was sleeping in my bed and i saw a dark figure that was moving in my room. Scared the hell outta me and i woke up, atleast i thought i woke up. While still dreaming, i am startled awake and look around my room and think its all ok but then i notice something move, i watch the area more intently and it begins to stand up, scares the hell out of me again and i wake up - but i'm STILL not awake!! i swear one time i woke up like 5 freakin' times before i finally really woke up! Scary thing.

I had a nightmare seven nights in a row. It was always nearly identical.

A tall, broad human figure would enter through the front door. It would leave the door wide open and continue down the hallway toward my room. While it moved down the hallway it sounded as though something metal scraped along the fake wood floor.

The person/creature would stop at my doorway and look in. I would never see its face. However I would see myself (viewed as though a camera were mounted on the ceiling). There was a "me" laying in bed, asleep. And there was a second "me" standing up across the room from my bed. The second "me" was awake... and screaming. But try as she might she was unable to project her voice. She would gesture frantically, but her feet seemed cemented to the floor - so she was always unable to alert the sleeping me to a potential threat.

I would typically wake up sometime after that.

On the 8th night the dream changed. The figure came through the front door and closed the door shut behind it this time. Again it would walk down the hall, something metal scraping the floor. Again it paused and waited. However this time the lights on my stereo, cable box and computer provided enough light for the screaming "me" to see the person's features.

The person's face was like a tragedy mask. Their eyes were like clear marbles pressed into the mask. It looked as though blood was being drizzled over the marbles inside the person's head... so that it dripped down the back side slowly. The blood continued to drip until the marbles had turned red.

Once the marbles were completely red it looked as though the person had begun to cry blood. It then lifted what it carried high above its head, hefting what I could now see to be an axe. Firmly grasping the tool with both hands, it brought the blade of the axe down swiftly.

The screaming "me" watched as the head of the sleeping "me" fell apart in two halves. Blood flowed then, staining the pillow and the sheets. It continued to drip... a seemingly endless flow. The person smiled, revealing jagged teeth and pulled the door of the room shut. It sounded as though it had locked it from the outside (which is impossible).

The screaming "me" watches in horror as the blood flows quickly. It pools at her feet, slowly climbing up over her toes. And then her feet... moving past her ankles. She finally finds her voice...

I wake with a scream.

After that dream I stopped having them.

UGH! Tell me about it it's horrible when it happens to me and I finally wake up after I don't know how many times i've woken up then it takes me ages to just find out that I AM actually awake.

But anyway has anyone dreamt the tomorrow?
Happened to me once and it freaked me out! I went to bed..dreamt the day, woke up, and relived the bloody day. Everything was the same...and then after that the SAME tomorrow day dream kept hitting on me for I think 3 nights in a row and never changed so it ended up as the tomorrow-yesterday-the day before-the day before that-dream lol it was fucked up I never knew why it happened, but I hope it won't happen again it was started to make me tired lol
