Tony Blair, ex UK Prime Minister has been awarded the US liberty medal for his commitment to conflict resolution, well, at least in the US he didn't get pelted with eggs and shoes like he did in Dublin last week, an event which made him cancel his London book signing for fear of protest ;

America awards a war monger, Britain throws shit at him

To be honest, it is accurate to desribe him as dedicated to conflict resolution, his best achievements are all peace related (NI most famously)....he just figured using the military for peace was a good idea....and it did work well in serbia & sierra.

Hasn't done too well in the middle east, though, and I do find the fact that the tosser's still insisting that the 2005 bombings had nothing to do with him involving us in America's occupation of Iraq under false pretences a bit offensive.

Remember the Saathci Conservative party anti labour party poster prior to Blair getting in power back in '97, well, every time I hear of Blair in the world news, I think of that, for he should have faded into obscurity after his resignation from Prime Minister like the rest did. I feel with what he is doing, being the subject of award ceremonies and such, he is inviting more problems for himself.

I think the Tories and NotNu Labour both had a Saatchi doing their advertising for that campaign. Wasn't it after S&S had split into two separate companies?
