BEING PROACTIVE. If the "submissive" males who have profiles would actually be proactive about wanting to DATE a dominant woman, instead of playing the coy maiden, there might be some progress. So many of these men managed to get married at least once, surely they remember how to offer a greeting, start a conversation, and ask a person to coffee?

I hope this doesn't seem like this is too far off topic.

With the recent changes that CM has made, I honestly believe this is going to get better.  Of course, we (meaning Dominant women) have to do our part to help the system along, but it is already becoming an effective change.  As the 'white noise' becomes less (random messages that just say "hi", form letters, etc) the percentage of good messages through mail actually becomes higher.  I do think that some will have to change their email habits in order to adapt.  In either case, males who do write good introductions are going to benefit as a result.

I totally agree. I really don't think I would be with my partner now if he hadn't made me gasp with such an amazing first introduction email through here. It was the most honest, well thought out, well written one I had ever read. Not that I hadn't received others before, of course. But he had actually taken a lot of time to read through my profile and take note of my likes and dislikes, and he showed he had got a very good idea of the sort of person I was just from that, which was a fantastic start. He showed me he was as serious in his search as I was.

I never do sex either.  However, happily, I shoot on a regular basis. :-)

I haven't actually initiated contact with a Domme here for many months.   I'll have to check out these changes CM's made . . . .

All right, don't panic!  You don't have to do everything a sub tells you to do, you know.

VaguelyCurious -> RE: Domme / Sub marketplace - Imbalance in favor of Dommes (9/16/2010 4:01:00 PM)

Hush, you [8D]

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Domme / Sub marketplace - Imbalance in favor of Dommes (9/16/2010 4:17:46 PM)

No . . . as if I'd neglect you, dear Lady Hib!

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Domme / Sub marketplace - Imbalance in favor of Dommes (9/16/2010 4:37:52 PM)

Hmph. I have neither emails nor walnut whips!

VaguelyCurious -> RE: Domme / Sub marketplace - Imbalance in favor of Dommes (9/16/2010 4:56:58 PM)

Why on earth would you want walnut whips? Surely a decent submissive would provide you with better chocolate :P

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Domme / Sub marketplace - Imbalance in favor of Dommes (9/16/2010 5:19:00 PM)

Oh I wasn't going to eat the walnut whip! Heh.

VaguelyCurious -> RE: Domme / Sub marketplace - Imbalance in favor of Dommes (9/16/2010 5:26:11 PM)

...are we talking about the same kind of walnut whip? [8D]

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Domme / Sub marketplace - Imbalance in favor of Dommes (9/16/2010 5:33:13 PM)

What can I say, I think of squishy brown stuff, and ideas come flooding in!

VaguelyCurious -> RE: Domme / Sub marketplace - Imbalance in favor of Dommes (9/16/2010 5:35:09 PM)

Actually, I seem to remember that most of the gooshy stuff in a walnut whip is white...
