Just days before Pope Benedict XVI's visit to Britain and thousands of tickets remain unsold and with that, a poll conducted in September, only 14% of UK people actually want him to visit, yet the taxpayer is being forced to pay £1.5 million for his security. Officials are said to be blaming the early 2am start to get the 'official' coaches to the venue, that is putting people off, or perhaps it is the compulsory £25 'pilgrims pack', when cash is tight in the UK, or is it the people have a different opinion given the Pope's stance on certain issues.

It's probably both.
Apparently they're bussing in schoolkids from Catholic schools to try to pad out the crowds a bit, so at least Adolph has a chance of scoring while he's over here.

I do hope they have the permission of the Kid's parents to go and see Herr Ratzinger, as it would be a bit of an insult if the parents aren't going because they no longer believe in the Pope.

I don't think they can take kids anywhere without parental permission. (Except borstal, obviously...)

Ha, they have to do that here in the U.S. when they have illegal alien rallies even in Arizona where you'd think there'd be "enough" of them they have to bus them in from Los Angeles. Anytime they have to "bus people in" you know it's not a popular cause.
I wouldn't think that "The Pope" would be very popular in England, Norway, Sweden, etc as those are largely Protestant countries, "Church of England" (Anglican) and "Lutherin" in the Nordic countries.
I wouldn't "pay to see the pope" either.

Anyone who would allow pedophilic acts to be placed alongside ordaining women as priests as "grave sins," basically making them equivalent "sins" deserves no audience with no person. No exceptions.
