FR
Puhleeze guys n gals, no side is better than the other at snarking being bitchy  twattish and downright assholish
to deny it is disingenuous at best.Just because some seem to think they can wrap their words up in pretty long winded back handed  insults and some go for the more earthy scream in your face insult doesnt change the fact that 99% of posters on here snark, rightly or leftly
stop trying to be holier than  thou, it just makes you look really sad.
From a snarky bitch
Be honest about it at least, because lying your assses off isnt working and makes you less credible in every way

Panic? Why? We win even if we lose. Republicans don't have the balls to do anything but whine. They certainly don't have enough to overturn anything Obama has gotten passed.

DYB, it's not the "Republicans" that the Dems need to be worried about, it's the Independants who as CNN said the other night, "will decide the elections."

They started to panic weeks ago when the "summer of recovery" never happened.

Yeah, but then they got the September Surprise... all those whack job tea party candidates winning primaries... wow, it was like God shit a golden goose just for democrats

till they win

No, pops, what I am saying is that even if we lose both houses of congress it doesn't matter. Republicans have proved to inept to legislate. There are no new ideas in that party. They have all been heard and tried and they have failed miserably. If the country wants to try it a gain. Have at it. Just means things won't change for another two years.  Certainly they aren't able to repeal anything Obama has passed.

tazzygirl -> RE: On what date do the leftists/ Dems start panicking? (9/17/2010 11:41:19 AM)

Even if the Republicans win the house, its a long bet they will win the senate.

I see this, actually, as a potentially good thing. It will force both sides to have to work on things together... or it could be a bad thing with nothing being done for the next two years.

Again, either way, it will show the american people what politicians care more about... us or themselves.

Chris Coons is one democrat that is probably feeling a little panic right now. His lead over Christine O'Donnell is 10 percentage points, but the momentum is clearly with her.

Right.

The momentum is clearly with her.

So I guess that with Charlie Crist 10 points behind Rubio the momentum must clearly be with him.

Uhhhh, momentum has nothing to do with current position. Crist is actually 17 points behind, and facing a split vote with the (D) in the race. He has zero chance. O'Donnell was closer to 20 behind vs the (D) in a pre-primary poll, and opened at 11 points post primary. Thats momentum. And Rove and Krauthammer are wrong about her not being electable. There is no conservative who is unelectable when the Dems are 25 points behind in likelihood to vote.

DYB, hey, that's catchy, "The new winning,...losing!"

That's like "high unemployment" to the Democrats,... "The new normal!"
If something is bad they just re-label it and call it something else! Fucking brilliant!
Democrats; "Detroit, the City of the Future!"
"Forty Five Thousand Home Forclosures Last Month." Democrats; "PROGRESS!!!"

And "global climate disruption" now that they know the fraud of global warming has been exposed. Like "jobs saved", it sets up an unprovable premise, how convenient for them.

Well, let's go to the Holy Book of conservative polling and see what Rasmussen has to say:

Election 2010: Florida Senate - Rasmussen Reports

Election 2010: Florida Senate

Florida Senate: Rubio (R) 41%, Crist (I) 30%, Meek (D) 23%

I'm sure that I'm not the only one who noticed O'Donnell was in favor of repealing/defunding 0bama0Care, and Castle against it. I'd bet there's further polling going on, and I'd further bet the Rs don't miss an issue (repeal) favored by 2-1 among all voters and maybe 50-1 by their base.

And I'd bet the Rs against face much stiffer primary challenges in 2012 than those for it. That's basically what I see as the purpose of the TEA Party- overturning 0bama0. If current Rs don't have the balls we'll find some who do.

Been to a Coffee Party lately?? [:D] [:D]

Big parties, Big Business...they go together!
Congressman are in congress to fatten their own wallets, not to help the country. They could give a damn about the people or the country. If you don't believe that look at the make up..people who can't hold a real job...they are the lower than scum in my opinion.

Leftists and Democrats have very little in common. Dems are far too willing to pander to Republicans to my taste. Republicans in this country are the next best things to snake oil salesmen, and although I am open to voting for candidates other than Democrats, I have yet to find a sane Republican running for office where I vote. Green party, Libertarian, yes. Republicans, no.

Which means that tazzygirl's prediction that a Republican House would force the parties to work together will not happen...while I agree with tazzy on almost everything, I believe the second part of her statement to be a more accurate prediction than the first. Republicans' ideas are either so far to the right that mainstream America will no longer embrace them (see the previous culture wars on which Repubs have rapidly lost ground), or their voices are such minorities in the party that they are shuttled to the far margins and not heard. I've no patience with those who will not work for America at its core. Though Dems are also guilty, Repubs are far worse at treating corporations as gods, not the U.S. Constitution and the people whose rights it guarantees.

Thanks to Pop and all the cons for confirming that to date,no one`s panicking......

I see cons squirming and doing back-bends tho.

DomKen, I was a "Coasty" and in the Navy before that.
Well, it looks like everyone including myself was off on the date that the Democrats would start panicking!
It's WAY early this year, SEPT. 17th!

Dems to the voters; "you may hate us but the GOP is worse."

AnimusRex -> RE: On what date do the leftists/ Dems start panicking? (9/18/2010 9:10:14 PM)

OK, OK, before anyone starts talking about shotguns in mouths or dancing n the grave of their opponents, a bit of perspective is in order.

We have to remember that Ms. O'Donnell won her election by 1500 votes. If about 800 people in Delwarare had voted differently we would be having a different discussion.

Beyond that- Obama won by 52%-46%. I recall warning people at the time that we shouldn't forget that even though he won, 465 of the people wished he hadn't.

No different today- even if the Repubs win both houses, they need to remember that very nearly half the country wishes they were out of power.

Winning power and holding on to it are very different things. The Dems at least have an agenda of things they want to do. The Repubs don't.

No Repub, or Tea Partier has put forward any idea that is any different than what was done for 8 years under Bush.
Not one single idea.

No more bailouts?
Bullshit.

If Wall Street comes to Congress with a hardon, the GOP will bend over. Does anyone want to take issue with that?

So even if they win, the only way they hold on to power is to improve the lives of the people who are unemployed, or working and scared shitless they will be laid off.

Sorry, "Jeebus luvs me" and "don't touch yourself" isn't going to sound convincing long around 2012.
