I guess I should add my experience to this board. I remember the night I drove away from a "singles bar" vowing never to go back. I had been with BDSM for several years as a switch--but scenes were always negotiated in 'real time' at the local club.--I had never done met anyone on line.

I found CollarMe right away--I was impressed with the excellent layout of the site. I posted my bio and pic and was answered back by hundreds of responses. But the very first one was the most supportive, positive, fun sub I was ever blessed with.
He was experienced, too. It made me nervous because I had just come out as a full-fledged 'Domme' and I wondered if I was 'good enough'. I thought how he might be compairing me with all the Dommes--some of them professional--that he had ever been with. But I did a good session, and he was very pleased (and so was I!).

Because of his encouragement and support, I went on to solidify my role and continue as a Domme to this day.

I have been screening and sessioning dozens of people from CollarMe. The ones I have chozen to play with have all been terrific subs--I haven't had a bad experience yet. But in this case, the first can be one of the very best.
I would like to name this particular "First sub" but he wishes to be anonymous. When he reads this he'll know my words are from my heart.
When the people of CollarMe read it, they will know that good things can come from online BDSM encounters.

Well done Lady Whipenrod.
Your story is heartwarming and enouraging. I have had similar moments of doubt, but it is amazing where help comes from, the help which gives us the confidence to continue and blossom. :)
I had come from the divorce of a 13 year vanilla marriage and had vowed to pursue my inner feelings in future - my D/s orientated but subdued self. I only discovered Collarme about 4 weeks back and harbored doubts as to my capabilities to preform when the RL opportunity finally came about. Thanks to a beautiful sub lady whom I met here on Collarme about a fortnight back (and her patience and experience), I have gained the confidence I lacked to fully embrace my dream - to be a part of the D/s Community. Her an I are now, to my sheer delight, embarking on a beautiful Lifestyle relationship and I feel blessed.
Thank you so much for your honest and open expression of the feelings you encountered on your journey, Lady Whipenrod. It is something which truly should serve as an inspiration to all those who seek to embrace the lifestyle, particularily those new to it and feeling a little nervous of rejection. Well done! :)
