Aneirin -> OSHO ZEN Tarot (9/25/2010 7:06:15 AM)

Whether you believe in tarot or not, read it for fun or divination it exists at least to provide art work with hidden meaning, which is always interesting to discern the mind of the artist.

I have dabbled in tarot for many a year as a means to attempt to understand events as they are presented to me, but without much success beyond the occaisional glimmer of understanding, so now I just do it for fun, like I guess many also do their horoscopes.

But with my spiritual interests changing, I remembered a tarot deck I once had and again sought it out only to find there is an interactive version of the deck on line and using that, I am finding the tarot actually makes more sense than it did in the past, I am beginning to understand more about myself and life as it is presented to me. Why should this be when it was arcane in the past I wondered and have arrived at the thought that what the cards 'teach', just plain makes sense.

Anyway, for your education, amusement or derision, may I present the OSHO ZEN tarot interactive reading

Well, reading what the tarot had to say, I became interested in Osho's interpretations of Zen and sought more, then on wikipedia I sought out the name only to find;

Omg !!!, this guy was notorious the world over, banned from many countries including the USA, where he set up a commune in Oregon in 1981, called Ragneeshpuram, later shortened to Rajneesh, located on the outskirts of Antelope in Wasco county.  I guess Osho, or as he was know then as Bagwan Shree Rajneesh was a bit of a rebel.

Does anyone remember the Commune from the time period, any adherants ?

Anyway, whether you are in it for fun, divination or just like looking at occult art, Osho Zen tarot is one to recommend.

The OSHO ZEN is one of my personal favorites for readings for myself. I've been reading the tarot for 33 years, and have, at the moment, 9 decks that I use regularly for readings (the deck I use is dependent upon the person I'm reading for and the type of question on the table -- some decks are much better for some things than for others).

Because most of my issues with questions for myself revolve around my own "blind spots", I love the Osho Zen deck. Doing a spread with this deck doesn't allow me the luxury of intentionally mis-interpreting the reading -- the cards are, in their own way, both expansive in their range, and precise in their depiction of the situation at hand. Of course, one can -still- choose to ignore the Universe when it sends its wisdom... I got into a relationship after the Osho Zen told me NUMEROUS times that it was not healthy for me or for the other person involved... and yet, I kept laying the cards, waiting for them to give me another outcome, and doing as I darned well pleased. Suffice to say, the relationship didn't end very productively, and I never -did- forget that the deck told me so from the start. Oh well. Live and learn.

Thank You, for you have replied to my topic, although I did not expect anyone to do so, my intention was to direct anyone interested towards something which might be of use to them.

I added the bit regarding the commune in Oregon hopefully to entice any who know of the place bearing in mind many of the Americans here I have noticed list Oregon as their home. Perhaps because I am British in a densely populated collection of islands I am not aware just how big Oregon is, I think states and I see countries attached, but what you have is far bigger than any of our attached counries, in fact I believe Oregon is bigger than the whole of the united kingdom.

But as to the Osho Zen tarot, a few have done readings for me with this deck and always the report is when questioning of me, the king of rainbows is a common factor, myself even with the online card for the day, the rainbow king comes up all too often and I much agree with what it has to say. Other than that I am finding the Osho interpretation of Zen more palatable than reading Zen from other sources, not the content, but the way it is presented, with Osho humour and honesty of words.

A re ocurring theme with me that the cards show I already knew all aspects, but I am reminded just the same for I know the resolution and all that leads to that, but the question is elusive to me.

I have only owned three decks, my first being the RiderWaite, my second being the Osho Zen and my present deck, the Sharmann Caselli, chosen because it was devised by a psychologist. I lost the Rider Waite and the Osho Zen when my marriage broke up, so tend to use the Sharman Casselli when the need arises or more lately, the online version which Ifind ok, but with suspicion

Interesting. I checked out the Ohso, and I am intrigued by what I found. I will have to look more into it.

As far as the Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh...he was pretty infamous here, especially for his fleet of Rolls Royces. Many people felt that he was just pretending to be a holy man, with sex and wealth as his driving motivations. Read this website for an interesting view of someone who know the Bhagwan. http://rajneesh.info/

As for Oregon, it's a big state. From north to south, it is approximately 310 miles by approx 400 miles east to west. I've traversed it more times than I choose to remember. The state of California, which is approximately 800 by 200 miles would be more akin to the UK in size.

There are a few baffling decks that I've recently dug up to do more concentrated study of, and Osho Zen is one of them.

I was a kid when the news broke about the commune. I remember people in pinks and oranges dancing around a man waiving at them from a very fancy car. The news was very fascinated with the cars.
