i was curious about preferences. i have liking to be restrained, especially at the ankles for say as an example two or even three days when playing for a weekend perhaps. But metal cuffs can be chaffing and lead to nerve damage. i'm especially fond of leather cuffs, but then that not going to be my complete decision, things could be worked around that, So what is your preference in restraints as Ms/Mtress/sub/slave . How do you try and mitigate the obvious damage metal can cause. subs/slaves, have you any such experiences, if so how do you deal with it; and still keep in the spirit of the thing. Appreciate any input i can get. As i would want to do right by any one who might consider me for shall we say recreational purposes alone. My deepest regards and thanks for any replies

My absolute favourite cuffs are the Master Series by Aslan Leather. I have the suspension cuffs (absolutely perfectly designed) and ankle restraints and they are amazing, especially for extended periods. Plus they come in purple, which is always a treat

The site says they are for short term suspension, but I've used them on crosses for hours at a time and overnight (not on a cross though, my poor legs would give out) without any damage at all.

personaly i like a wide leather cuff, for me, both the look and feel of them. have used metal cuffs, and for short term use there alright, but just prefer my leather ones. though my favorit set got lost in a hotel room last year.. one of them anyway.. We never have figured out how tha happened.. used to be an everyday were set.. ive been thinking about makeing a few sets, and a set of susp[ension cuffs though to my specs. have to many other projects in line first though of toys to be made... as to ankel restraints, well feel wise they dont do anything for me but for look i do prefer leather in most restraints.. though a good bit of rope work works in a,pardon the pun, bind.

I'm partial to metal, in all forms, shapes and sizes. I have a set of metal shackles, basically handcuffs attached to chains to attach the hands and feet together. I've found that they're much less dangerous if I wrap some soft tie-restraints around the limb before putting the metal cuffs on. That way, the solidity of the metal is still felt, but you're not going to get skin chaffed until it's bleeding.

Leather cuffs attached to chain are fun, too. Basically, I love involving metal in play.

hmmm i forgot i do have a soft spot for the use of chains. the feel of the metal and the sound as well. though i do still prefer my leather. i do enjoy makeing use of chain as well on occasion, and a good wrap of the area affected, dose tend to be a good idea when useing metal restraints to cut down on the dammage in the area, but that goes for rope in some cases as well. so.. hmm goin going to have to check some of these links to be provided though. always in the market for new stuff, or ideas at the least. unfortunitly our budget for new gear remains low, and with hopefuly another boy comeing in were goign to need some new things.

I like wide leather cuffs that are lockable, and definately not fur lined (it gets nasty after a while). I do prefer to have matching ankle & wrist restraints.

My suspension cuffs are from Waterhole Leather (and are, IMHO, the best out there); my fave cuffs/collar set is from LaFetishiste. I also have a set of wrap ones from DeTails that are nice. Umm and I've got some old ones I bought years ago...and then there's the other set I got as a gift...lol...too many damn toys.

I love my leather, but am also fond of hobbling someone with well placed rope around their knees. It's especially good for housework.

Extreme Restraints has a binding that is leather with a steel band on the outside of the leather. This combination provides the feel of leather with the firmness of steel. An alternative to this is neopreme. Neopreme can be worn comfortably for hours, feels great, and is less costly than leather. It cleans easier than leather, and does not require as much care. Its drawback is that it does not last as long as leather, nor does it have that fantastic smell.

I love bondage of all sorts.. Rope, chains, and leather cuffs. My favorite are rubber wrist and ankle cuffs, cuz you can actually have a sub shower in them. I also love encasement bondage, like a leather body bag. This of course can only be used for or on one person because of sizing, and its hard to get them really clean. A good subsitute is saran wrap.

I like the fur lined restraining cuffs or good old 3/8" braided nylon. But I'm not the one wearing them of course.

Rope bondage is my favorite asthetically, but I use handcuffs if time is limited and in some of my multi-top scenes (SO much fun...)

With a sub I know a bit better, though, I like to nix physical restraint in favor of the "sit. stay." method.

though I may prefer cuffs, i would rather be bound with nylon stockings - it just has a certain feel to it that is erotic and kinky when bound

Stainless steel lined with leather for the wrists and ankles. Mine wears a collar made of the same. Her collar locks on, I hold they key on my keyring as a constant reminder to myself, and to her.

Heavy chain from her collar is a nice touch.... And I know she finds enjoyment in it.

I also use ankle and wrist restraints that are leather, lined with soft fur for her comfort, and ability to wear for extended time periods.

I love the way mine looks in the armbinder as well.

I love leather as much as anyone but there are a lot of other ways to bind. There are sports cuffs which are made with a very soft lining that can be worn all day. You can also try using bungy cord instead of rope or chain. It can be made to give a little, or made to stretch a sub out tight. Nylon is fun to use in cbt or cock restraint. The whole idea is to use your imagination and keep things interesting so take a look around your house for things and have fun.

I like steel, rope, but also I like the velcro cuffs. They are quick release in case a problem occurs, strong enough to hold most anyone, and just as effective.

Leather ones also are nice. Just depends on my mood which ones I use.

I tend not to do rope like I used to. Last time I used it on a girl, she was hogtied quite well. She kicked on reflex when I swatted her on the rear and accidentally knocked off the glasses well enough to pop out one of the lenses and bend the frame slightly. Since I'm blind as a bat without them, what took about 5 minutes of knot tying and all, took over a half hour by feel to undo and pretty much moved to the velcro ones. All it took was once. At least those you can remove without trying blindly to find the keys and undo knots *lol.
