Tears before my Bedtime By Timothy B. Chiacchira I sat here listening to the house We had so much, Where we held each other, You my lover, our dreams No tears living onward in my dreams for you To discover, your path Hoping it would go my way Together and now tears before my bead time You wanted more than I could give you But what I had was in this simple rhyme. It was not just some kind of love affair, I bet it all, you up and disappeared. This world is now empty and I aware I had one chance when you appeared And now tears before my bedtime And now when I shut my eyes, The last time, My imagination fills with lies That holding and rocking together Our arms eternal ties But there were tears before my bedtime And the chances came my way And now at the empty house I leave behind my hopes for a better day. I will never laugh again Just immutable suffering The brimstone love I have without you. In the tears before my bedtime.
