And since you brought it up, during an August 04 press conference a Kerry campaign spokesperson admitted that Kerry's 1st Purple Heart Medal was awarded for "an accidently self-inflicted wound" and that "Kerry was not actually in Cambodia on Christmas Eve 1968"

You got a reference for these "admissions"?

The Gulf of Tonkin Resolution was repealed, Nixon signing the legislation, and of course the gotr did not mandate money.

So, money was available  for vietnam at the time that Nixon appeased the communists.

Not even a lousy attempt at saving there jimmy.

The list of American Communist, Marxist, Racist, Socialist and Union organizations which sponsored the One Nation rally on 10-2-10 and the mess they left on the Mall, specifically at the National WWII Memorial, is enough to ensure the Democrats will lose the House and perhaps the Senate as well.

try "self inflicted" without the accidentally.

""GARRETT: And questions keep coming. For example, Kerry received a Purple Heart for wounds suffered on December 2, 1968. But in Kerry's own journal written nine days later, he writes he and his crew, quote, "hadn't been shot at yet," unquote. Kerry's campaign has said it is possible this first Purple Heart was awarded for an unintentional self-inflicted wound -- Brit." (Special Report with Brit Hume Aug.23, 2004)"

You get done fighting that war might want to take a look at the two shitholes that have sucked up a generation in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thanks Republicans.

You miss my point: I'm disparaging Sorebutt because his term in service appears to have been far more of an asset to the Vietnamese than your own country's interests. However little Kerry did, that can't be claimed of him.

John TRAITOR & WAR CRIMINAL Kerry's (and Jane HANOI Fonda's) portrait is hanging in Hanoi's Vietnam "Hall of Hero's". I just invalidated your point.

Try this: http://horse.he.net/~swiftpow/index.php?topic=KerryinVietnam

In Douglas Brinkley's Tour of Duty (about Kerry's tour in Vietnam), Kerry recounts the December 2, 1968 incident (for which Kerry eventually received a Purple Heart) as "a half-assed action that hardly qualified as combat." Later in Tour of Duty Douglas Brinkley writes that soon after Kerry turned 25 on Dec. 11, 1968 he headed out on his first mission: "Kerry wrote in his notebook - 'A cocky feeling of invincibility accompanied us up the Long Tau shipping channel because we hadn't been shot at yet, and Americans at war who haven't been shot at are allowed to be cocky.'"

So, NINE DAYS AFTER he requested a Purple Heart for a wound he claimed was due to enemy fire Kerry says he hadn't been shot at yet.

Kerry subsequently requested a Purple Heart for the same action from Grant Hibbard's replacement, who approved Kerry's request based solely upon Kerry's description of the action.

Brit Hume never worke for CNN and searching CNN for self inflicted results in thousands of hits none appear relevant. Searching for kerry self inflicted returns nothing relevant.

Your other source is SBVT a group of proven liars.

You need to present the proof you claimed you had. specifically two statements from a kerry aide reported by CNN and in the CNN archives.

I am willing to make a small wager with the OP, rulemylife. If the Dems keep control of the House I will make out a $100.00 check to rule's favorite charity. If the Repubs take control of the House, he can write out a check to my favorite charity. You can make it out to " Make a wish " foundation.

Rule seems sure that the dems will keep control of the House. I say they won't. What does that buy us you ask ? Control of every thing that goes on in the House of Representatives.

Not gonna happen.  You are not gonna keep 220 or 230 of your republicans in lockstep for any length of time. Just because there is a load of asswipe in the fuckheaded media about the death to rinos and teabaggers love nuts doesn't mean thats what you will get elected.

There will be unintended consequences for the rabid right.
