Brazillians hurt at first, but over time they hurt less. Exfoliate between waxes to reduce possible problems with in-growns. My esthitician is wonderful. When I first began doing these I was really overweight. She smiled and said she does this for a living - does it all day long, and has seen cooches of all shapes and sizes - not a big deal to her. She just wants to make her clients as comfortable as possible. We used to joke about having her keep a shot of vodka ready for me, to relax me before the waxes lol. Now it's easy-peasy. Over time your hair is less coarse and your skin becomes accustomed to the process. Avoid going near your period, though, as you're skin is more there sensitive at that time. As for the "we have hair there for a reason" - bah. I shave my legs, under my arms, and wax my eyebrows and upper lip (and chin, as I am getting older!). I also cut and style the hair on my head. There is nothing wrong with shaping, grooming and removing the hair we grow. I mean, I sweat for a reason, too, but I still use deodorant.
