Anybody mention Stanley Kubrick yet? On a more personal level, my favorite is my great-great-great grandfather, who learned that all the young Jewish men in his village were being rounded up as cannon fodder for the army and war the next morning, so he and his brothers slipped out, dressed in women's clothes, and came to America.

There are few that people consider philosophers that are lesser than Rand, but there is most definitely far inferior prose out there that people enjoy. Glad we cleared that up :D

FR How can any American answering this NOT include Hyam Salomon?? Without him this nation does not exist, he was the chief financier of the revolution. Also in no particular order: Mel Brooks George Segal Matisyahu and too many others to name. Kosherly, Some Knucklehead in NJ P.S. Although I am rather the atheist, I must say that Judaism is the only Abrahamic religion that makes any sense to me, but that is for a different thread.
