Wasn't quite sure where to post this but was curious about screenname approvals. If someone uses a term that can be viewed as racial hatred is the name acceptable? i just saw a name and was basically appalled. jill

k, now i'm curious.. what was the name? a while ago, there was a person here with a name racially offensive to asians (they made a post in "introduce yourself) and one of the mods did something about it (I cant remember what)

Sometime ago I put up a thread asking our members to email me with any profiles you come across that are offensive or seem to break the rules. Should you find a profile that you have questions about, or think it may not belong or is offesive, please email me. I will look into it as soon as possible. Thanks Mod3

So far as I understand it (admittedly my knowledge is pretty limited) screen names are not subject to moderator approval - there's just too many people trying to sign up and too few moderators volunteering their time. If someone uses a screen name that's deemed inappropriate, folks need to speak up and say so, or the moderators might never catch wise. There are things that can be done once an offensive screen name has bee nreported.

Mod 3, Now that you mentioned it i do remember that post. i just didn't find it when i was doing a search before i made this post. Thanks and i do apologize for spacing out on that one. Has to be this nasty head cold i have lol. jill
