Lockit ~ I've been ... uhm ... yeah that's where I've been! But shhhhhh ... dun tell anyone. It's a secret!

Lady Pact ~ That falls under the heading ... I don't need to know ... but if you ( whatever individual, not you personally ) enjoy it ... I'll be happy that you're happy ... and NO! I don't want to know! Seriously.

As for the OP ( which I completely spaced cause I was laughin to hard ) ~

I think every individual has a net worth that has nothing to do with income. Were we thinking of looking to add anyone to the mix that is us, I would be ok with someone who was unemployed/in a job they hate so long as they were making a genuine effort to be someplace else, so long as their personal net worth was high enough.

Underemployed is a slightly different critter IMO. If one is doing something they love AND can cover their basic needs I'm cool with that. If they hate it ... I would revert to the find something else position.

Interesting thoughts ... as I have been on both sides of this tightrope over the past couple of years. So I will just make a few random comments ....

1. Myself, I look at what a person has accomplished, what they are striving for, and/or what they can do. So I agree with many of the comments here ... it depends on the person. Are you trying to make your life better in some way?

It could be retraining, taking a lesser job, or someone like you (without the distance) who has many redeeming virtues!

So myself, I am saying the same thing as many others here.

2. I was out of work for a few months. Took some classes ... looked for a job ... SPENT WAY TOO MUCH TIME POSTING

,

and encountered the same differences of opinion that are reflected in this thread.

Some do, some won't ... although I must say ...

there was one Angel who didn't care about my then current circumstances, got to know me somewhat as a person, and really encouraged me to keep doing what I was doing. She didn't stop emailing mental encouragement ... until I got a new job.

So i do remember her fondly ...

3. Ironically ... over the past two months or so ... I have actually started being approached by dominant women ... it's strange ... I know ... or maybe the new suits.

I really cannot explain any of this ... guess it is really all about timing, location, and people interested in connecting in some form ...
