I never ceased to be amazed what people will write on Facebook. A month or so ago, one of my FB friends, who is a nurse, wrote something along the lines of ....... had a bad day at work, stress, la la la..... gonna take a "handful of Percocet and have a few shots of Jack" and call it a night. Her co workers and boss are on her friends list. How did people get so flipping stupid ?

It is progress that such a post would be grounds to step down. I doubt he is sorry. School boards KNOW the climate. One has to be guarded- not too left or too right.

Well, the initial reaction that came out of My mouth probably wasn't above that level when I read this. Even toning it down to be semi-polite on the boards even comes out as what the fuck is wrong with some people. What the hell could this guy have been thinking? I'm sorry, folks. Maybe when I'm done shaking My head for an hour, I might be able to say something about this that doesn't include foul language.

I saw him being interviewed on CNN...he was apologizing and back pedalling like mad, but basically just saying he used inappropriate language...not really distancing himself from the message itself.

There is no remorse, except for the problems he caused his family and school board. His religous beliefs dictate homosexuality is a one way ticket to hell. In a town of 300, there is probably only one church, one pastor and it's a common way of thinking in certain areas. Another frightening example of how easily people can be led.
