That's in my permanent Netflix queue. I think that's the only film Timmy was in where he didn't overact. [8D]

I'm here. Life sucks. MRSA. Telavancin + new oxycontin formulation = big fucking headaches, nausea, shakiness, tiredness, no appetite, short temper. Want to hunt refucklinazis. [:D]

*big hugs*

MistressRosalyn -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 12:19:29 AM)

OK, this is some major sadness reporting in here...
Last night I went out to karaoke, and since it was the proper season for RHPS, I did "Late Night Double Feature Picture Show" and "Time Warp". (Yes, I can do all the parts on Time Warp...freaks people out!)

Here's the sad part...NO ONE GOT UP TO DANCE THE TIME WARP! (Sorry for shouting, but this is major shit!)
Because of our proximity to an Army base, there were plenty of young 'uns...but they didn't even know what I was singing about. The old ones (my age) were too decrepit to dance I guess.

I blame this on poor parenting skilz. What is this world coming to when a 22 year old has never heard of RHPS...worse, has never attended a line up? WHERE WERE THE PARENTS?

Thanks for letting me vent. I'll just go back and drool in my corner now.

GreedyTop -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 12:23:01 AM)

OMFG!!  Seriously?? How can anyone NOT get up and dance it??????

you're right.. parenting skills FAIL!!

MistressRosalyn -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 12:45:44 AM)

Yeah, I know. A whole dance floor, many bodies to move, and none of them brave enough to take a jump to the left. I was wounded I tell ya! Totally devastated.

Maybe if I had been wearing my corset?

Hippiekinkster -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 1:07:17 AM)

Someone forgot to open a case of poppers in front of the ventilation system.

MistressRosalyn -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 1:19:32 AM)

Dammit! I knew I forgot something!

Only problem is that the whole bar is outdoors. There are benefits to being a Zonie in cooler months.

ShaharThorne -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 2:15:48 AM)

Lizard is only 15 and someone gave her RPHS...she sings time warp...

AquaticSub -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 2:31:39 AM)

~Fast Reply~

I woulda danced!

I started learning the Time Warp at the tender age of 13. Granted cause a guy I thought was hot was into it but hey, it counts!

BonesFromAsh -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 2:43:58 AM)

Sacrilegious or just ridiculous?

Or maybe just too much sugar.

You be the judge.

MistressRosalyn -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 3:19:31 AM)

That was awesome!
But maybe a little less caffeine

tiggerspoohbear -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 11:12:35 AM)

I was 17 the first time I saw it, and many a time since then.  Midnight showing, the whole bit with a load of friends of course.  Can't stand watch it on TV now, it's just not the same.  Need the midnight thingie, the audience participation.  If only the theater I first saw it at was still in existence, next time I'm at my dad's I'd take my 16 yr niece with me for the experience and the appreciation.  My sister would have a fit, but Stef would love it.  Said sister having a broomstick up her arse for so long that it's now growing branches.  [:D]

And no way in hell will you catch me at the remake of RHPS by the cast or director of glee.  That's just an abomination.

Alpha323 -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 7:15:54 PM)

That's great! Thank you for sharing.

"It's just a jump to the left..."

LaCoeurTriste -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 7:31:41 PM)

"Touch me , touch me, touch me, I want to be dirty...."
Sigh.
Good times

ShaharThorne -> RE: 35 Years of Rocky Horror! (11/1/2010 7:45:59 PM)

Just got word...any remake of RHPS will be boycotted in Austin.

My daughter has a system of gothic and emo network.
