A couple were planning their wedding and talked to the soon to be bride's priest. Admitting to him they lived together and had sex, the priest agreed that the couple could get married in his church, under the provision that they abstain for sex for the next 3 months, directly preceding the wedding.
A month later while meeting with the Priest, he asked them how they were doing concerning their vows of chastity, and they said that though there had been some...desires...they'd held of for the sake of the wedding.
A month later, again they met, and this time told the Priest that the struggle to abstain had been mighty, but they'd been able to withhold their desires.
A week before the wedding the couple comes into the church and meets with the Priest, who asked again how the vows of chastity were going. The woman immediately began sobbing and ran out of the room, and the soon to be husband confessed that they had indeed broken their vows.
"It wasn't planned..it really..just..we were overwhelmed. My girlfriend had dropped a lightbulb..and bent over to clean it up. I just couldn't resist..and while she was bent over..I just took here, right then and there."
The priest, saddened, said that he understood the temptation, but there was no way they'd be allowed to be married in the church.
"Yes", the young man replied, "I understand. We're not allowed back in Home Depot anymore either."
